Specifically this part:

All new Aircraft or player-controlable content may not be included in our core online gameplay set without our certification and agreement with third party developer.
In all other cases such content you may play in a single play or probably online on specially created servers, that are not certified (updated in code) by us.
This is the general idea how to escape online cheaters and don't damage fair online gameplay.

To clarify. Let's take the Spitfire for example. Its FM will be completely locked in the "core" set. You will then be able to create your own Spitfire version with our tools, with tuned FM parameters, etc, let's call it the SuperSpit. You'll be able to use the SuperSpit offline whenever you like. When you join an online server with the "core lock" enabled, you won't be able to fly the SuperSpit. You'll only be able to fly our stock Spitfire with all parameters unmodified. Alternatively, when you join a server with no core lock, you'll be able to fly your SuperSpit, or the regular Spitfire, whichever you prefer.
Same goes for all other changes that we'll allow through our user tools.

Though this part was also pretty funny:

PS. this post a bit edited by Ilya Shevchenko that to make clear my Olegish English

Personally, I no longer have any real worry about the 3rd party stuff that will be possible to have added to SoW.

Well will keep fingers crossed that it comes as advertised by the developers!

This is going to make life much much easier round here, or whever we will be. Sow is going to be awesome, especially about 5 years after its release, when its had time to grow.

I'm actually a little disappointed in this, unless non-"core locked" servers can define which modded planes they will allow. It would be nice if you could "core lock" certain planes while allowing other to be modded as well.

Salute

People should also understand that players will be able to submit the modded aircraft they create to Oleg for his appraisal.

If they meet his standards for graphics excellence and flight model accuracy, he will incorporate them into the 'core' set of planes, and they will be flyable on secure servers.

If they are modelled as though they weighed 250kgs less than the real aircraft, or as if they had a higher horsepower engine, (as some of the newly modded IL-2 aircraft are) they will be the subject of a good laugh, and relegated to the fantasy servers.

I just hope that the people who wish to host modded servers will be able to limit what mods are allowed, instead of an open "bring what you want" server. So they can say "No Super Spits, but a Spit Vb and IX is fine."

Why pick a lock if you have a key... besides.. it took what.. @6 years to hack IL2.. and another year before anyone outsidce of the initial hackers were even aware of it?

I wouldnt be surprised if certain criteria were setable from the server side.. I expect IL2 to the 3rd power.. or something like that.

Great!!!

Sweet, and they are going to give us tons of tools for campaigns!

I was upset that skinning will be made more difficult, especially pilots but that's ok cuz its better.

Also Oleg n Co realizes this, they will beef up the encryption of the files . . . granted people will eventually haxor BOB SOW, but it might take much longer than IL-2.

Of course anything goes in this day that computing grows by leaps and bounds . . .

BOB SOW supports refueling!

Why pick a lock if you have a key... besides.

Because, if I read it correctly, the key will not open all doors. Some will want to pass through those locked doors. And we will once again find ourselves in mod hell again.

It is inevitable.

(Is this metaphor tortured enough yet?)

Great.. I just hope it is online useless with 15 different servers with 100 different Spitfire's all in the first day. That way we dont have to wait till there is three MOD groups and 4 patches rendering online play U/S.

This is after all what we are asking for right???
Mod plan's already,, give me a break..

Anyone knows the Spanish expression "to put doors in open country"?
