View Full Version : Why don't you play on the TX-OC3 server?

I'm just wondering why the TX-OC3 on HL is always empty? If I'm not mistaken, they use the same hosting company as Warclouds (I get a 12 ping to both), and they pay good money to provide the service, but it is always completely empty. Not a one in it. Does anyone even try it? Is there something wrong with it?

I must confess, as a former TX member, I'd like to see some people having fun on their server. It is there for you, after all. It pains me to see it sitting there empty day in and day out.

I don't play online much anymore, and when I do I prefer easier settings, but surely there's enough of you out there that can give it a go now and then? I'd even submit to flying with cockpit on in the OC3 if there was someone to fly against. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

Well, I can only speculate. Perhaps WC always has the late war planesets of Luftwaffe vs. Allies (consistency, in other words). My personal ride of choice is the P-51D (even though I stink at it), but I know I can always go there to fly it.

The maps on the OC3 server are unknowns to most. I would suggest posting a synopsis of what the rotation looks like (planesets, objectives, time on map, map location).

I do like the Teamspeak server you have available. I do like the ability to VOTE a map rotation, although I could forsee how that could be abused. I wonder if there is a way for you to log votes and then check back every so often to see which ones are unpopular (then remove them). You are correct in saying it is very similar to the WC setup.

Here's a suggestion...how about inviting squads to come play at certain times? It would be good advertising. But I realize that it takes effort to do that.
