Hey a$$hats, I've seen a TV show "Wheels of Occupation" where a former Tiger commander Otto Knackwurst said they'd bounce 88 mm shells off the road in the air and thus provided effective flak coverage. He said it wasn't uncommon to knock out several B-17s and escorts on number of occassions.

One particular Fortress wasn't destroyed, but numerous shell fragments have sealed all the windows and hatches, thus entombing the crew. The plane landed in England and it took days until they could finally free them.
