nazis were and are low-life scum

Now that this is out of the way, I like to shoot down planes with swastikas on them. It makes me feel like a Big Man. Plus, the historical aspect is one that I prefer for Finnish and German aircraft

My hakenkruez program worked faithfully for years, but now sadly it is dying. It just won't work anymore for some reason.

I know there are alternatives to 're-enabling' Historically Correct markings. What do you like? Il-2 Stab?

Hi Chuck!

I would use IL2 MAT MANAGER (http://www.acesartwork.co.uk) not only German.

It looks so right with your campaign too.

mat manager is an absolute must-have program.
Even if you don't care much about historical skins and decals, it just makes the aircraft look much better. No-one should play without mat manager installed! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I like 'em just for historical reasons and yup I got em on my plane too when I fly axis. Nothing political - just history - they seem naked without. That said - try IL-2 Stab or IL-2hk at http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_essential_files.htm#018
JUST FLY WITH IT ONCE (sorry for caps) and before that edit conf.ini and set under [game] header:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
ClearCache=0 ; [0|1] {3.03+} empty the material cache
; use 0 when using e.g. IL-2 Mat Manager/IL-2 Stab
; When using IL-2 Stab for historical markings, setting ClearCache=0 will
; keep the historical markings enabled i.e. you dont have to run an external
; program in the background anymore.
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

That'll leave it enabled http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The rest of the goodies are here:
