What's up guys? This is my first forum subject I've ever made. It seems like this is something to think about but I don't see any other forums for it on this site.

Do you that Desmond will stay in the Abstergo building for the whole AC2 game? If so, why do you think so? If not, then where is he going to go, and what is going to happen?

I think so. But I'm basing that on a lot of assumptions.

For some reason, I think that there will be another assassin ancestor of Desmond's that we play as in AC3. For that to happen, Desmond needs an Animus, and if Desmond escaped, he'd lose access to the Animus. I've heard theories that the assassins will learn how to build one, but I find that unlikely; the modern assassins seem like a very small, under-funded organization, and building something like the animus seems beyond their ability.

But I could be wrong...

I kinda hope you are wrong, haha. I think it would be cool to escape Abstergo, but it could definately ruin the game if not excecuted properly. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

lol, well sure I want Desmond to escape, but I also want another historical assassin. I don't see how both are possible.

i heard in an interview somewhere that the [new?] animus will be more futuristic looking, so maybe Lucy snuck out the blueprints for the animus to the assassins, and they take desmond there when they rescue him?........

just an idea

I'm sorry it's a spoiler!
Desmond gets taken back by Assassins who have an animus of their own (not telling how they get one) He gets on theirs to tell their story and in AC3 I hope Desmond is the assassin because he needs to grow some balls and finally become what he was ment to be

he is so gonna escape after all of Ezio's advanced parkour skills have bled into him and he is gonna go and climb a smooth glass scraper.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

I really have no idea........

but even with parkour the power of security cameras and totally armed guards with rifles that can track u and ur movement making ur brains fly out of ur head it might make it a bit hard for him to escape

Totally brought this up on another thread but they could always steal the animus, it didn't look like it would be that hard, might need a helicopter to shatter through the glass window on the building. But they could pull it off. don't know where they would get a helicopter but i could happen... A bit of a long shot though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

i think they will go into the building one day to find everybodies neck snapped and desmond will be hanging from the roof thinking my assassins sences are tingling maybe an upside down kiss with lady lucy before hunting down vidic

I've mentioned this before, but I read that he'll be rescued by the assassins and taken to Africa, where the assassin's (with Lucy's help, as she is a friend of the assassin's and was brought to Abstergo to help develop the Animus) have built the Animus 2.0. I'll try and get the magazine I read it in, but this should be counted as pure speculation until I find it.

A animus in the middle of Africa? *raise eyebrow*

Possible, but I still doubt it. In one of the emails on Vidic's computer under "Daily Headlines" It says that 96% (or 94%, can't remember) of Africa's population was killed by some virus called L-11. (Possible mass assassin purging?)

I didn't see that one. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif Which one is it?

they have said in the second game desmond will be helping the assassins and at the end of the first game there was an invasion on the building desmond was being held in, most likely by the assassins so there is a chance they rescue him.

as for not having an animus lucy was using coded messages to talk with the assassins so it is possibl she got out information on the animus and asuming the assassins had the scientists capable of building this they could of also made modification as chances are they couldnt get the software running in the original animus so they would need to make there own and this is most likly the excuse for the changes to how the animus works in AC2.

I know it sounds a tad odd, but if you listen to one of Vidic and Desmond's conversations he mentions rooting out the assassin's from their 'desert hideouts'. Africa is practically the largest desert on the planet, coincidence?

I have a feeling that Desmond won't stay in the Abstergo building for the entire game. I reckon there will be a lot more for him to do in AC2.

Africa isn't just one large desert dotdrew, it's mostly like jungles grasslands and the such the big deserts are in the Middle East where Altair was

Anyway, desmond came from a desert commune. AKA "the farm" But he's american, not africa.

Well, I suppose if the Assassins are taking him anywhere at all, Africa/the Middle East are their best choices.

Ok so that was a bit of an exaggerastion, but it has a lot of desert. I'll try and get my friend to bring that magazine over so I can quote it.

I do believe that in this game, Desmond works for the assassins. I think the devs have said that, and he'll be using the services of an Historian.

However, Patrice is keep saying that ACII beings exactly where ACI ended, with Desmond going back to the Animus. So I think that at least at the first stage, Desmond will go back to the same Animus, with probably the templars telling him what to do. However when he wakes up again, he finds the assassins who probably has taken control over the room he's staying in. Since they can't barricade themselves for too long in that room, I do believe they'll take him somewhere else.

Get a room you two :P (Disclaimer to mods: by "Get a room" I am not intentionally implying anything sexual, and hereby withhold any resposibility (of offence taken) to me, and/or any of my affiliates.)

I think the Africa idea is probable, mainly because Africa is practically empty now, thanks to the virus, so it would be a pretty good place to be for this. Also, the fact that the writers paid attention to Africa implies that they have plans for it :P
