I saw this topic about an add on. It was called UQMG FB+AEP+PF UPGRADE 5.0.44 - 4.01m Support/Singapore1 Map

Reading through the posts, I saw one by Papa_K which read

If you're like me, and have limited time even to play this game, it makes you appreciate the work that goes into add-ons like this even more.

Thanks UberDemon.

For any new people out there, this is one of "The Essentials". With very limited practice on this software, you can make outstanding missions in minutes -- missions that would take hours to produce in the game's full mission builder.

Being VERY new to this/these games, I was wondering, what add ons by third party folks are considered ESSENTIAL to have for this game anyway? The main website is very good about showing patches, etc, and how to apply them, but as far as third party stuff, I don't know whats available, or even what I need or where to go to get it. You guys have any ideas?

Thanks

Ok so this is it for utilities, etc? Nothing else that anybody can think of that a FNG would need starting out? Just curious, but this game has been out for over a year (been watching from the sidelines, am a Falcon 4.0 pilot). Just kind of wondering......

Well it all depends on what you want, Missions? Skins? Italian voice packs? How to manage your engine? Mosey on over to Airwarfare and see what they got. It's all there, and nicely laid out too.

Now THIS is what I was looking for. Never been to this site before. This is my first real foray into prop sims in quite some time (the Microsuck BSFS series left me a bit flat)......

Thanks for the hook up http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You'll also want to check out Flying Legends:

http://www.flying-legends.net

You need to register for this one, but it's a massive resource - over 1000 aircraft skins, last count. Also hosted are many, many missions. Campaigns, skinning templates, etc.

AirWarfare is the big one for single missions and campaigns, though.

Also, Sim Outhouse
http://www.sim-outhouse.com
has a plethora of single and co-operative missions, mostly by EuroFinn. Good stuff.

And this:
http://members.optushome.com.au/~noseyparker/pages/missionspag.html
That's a page where Warg, a FMB guru member of the Wedge Tail Eagles squadron, uploads his Dogfight missions.

The ASFG, have a massive number of 'quick and dirty' co-operative mission packs available for download. They are wrapped up in installers, too:
http://theafsg.com/73/index.php

You'll want to check out Flying Nutcase's outstanding Full Mission Builder tutorial if you want to start creating missions and campaigns for the sim. That's:

http://www.jumpintojapan.com

If you want to start skinning (maybe you don't, but you never know), you want to check out the following resources as a start:

http://www.simmerspaintshop.com (the new site run by JaVa Serval, who used to run Skinner's Heaven)

---
There's a lot more to check out, but that's what hasn't escaped my memory for the moment.

Welcome to the addiction http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

THATS the sort of thing I was looking for. Need to hit these and take a look. Long time Falcon 4.0 pilot, but I know that pretty much inside and out now. Looking for something new.

Got Pacific Fighters, and just ordered a new copy of Il2 Gold edition off Amazon. Want to try to get up to speed when I get home off this job
