Cool pictures. Looks like they did the Villa pretty accurately. How did you get a picture of the Animus Edition though.

If it isn't, then I think it may be what they based it on.

Or this house was based on the one in the game. It doesn't look very old.

There is an animus edition for pc listed on gamestop.co.uk, but only on gamestop.co.uk, even the ps3 version has disappered from ubishop.com

And as for as i know, the animus edition only has the encyclopedia, soundtrack and embers dvd, not any comics or art book

Ah, cool. Then I guess they did indeed base the villa on this building.

That villa isn't in Monterrigioni, so that would explain why you can't find it anywhere :P

How's that? That's the real Monteriggioni, if you search it on google Earth you get that. It has to be that, it's close to Tuscany and Florence

Monterigionni - google maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=pt-PT&biw=1440&bih=809&q=monteriggioni&gbv=2&gs_upl=1281l3715l0l4813l6l6l0l0l0l0l264l840l0.1.3l 4l0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=YYOUTo6VI8OOswbs_ciABg&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=3&ved=0CDAQ_AUoAg)

The villa and garden in its position overlooking Florence is part of the old complex of the Maiano Farm situated on the slopes of Monte Ceceri

It's not in Monterrigioni.

The Villa di Maiano is not in Monteriggioni, it is in Fiesole, Tuscany. They based the Villa on this one but superimposed its immediate surroundings into the heart of Moteriggioni:

Here is the official website of the place:

It did actually go through some damage (not from Cannon fire, but from a Huricane). It was owned by the Pazzi at one stage.
