I don't post very much in these forums but iv'e not long finnished modeling this aeroplane inspired by the jets in 1946 and a homage to the simulator serires that got me into 3d modeling in the first place. =)

This is a non comercial image in the style of the 1946 box art of a De haviland vampire early version which would have made a good british complement to 1946 but who knows, maybe if i get on and model a working cockpit for this (or any other aircraft for that matter) i can get a plane in one of olegs titles! =p

The first jet aircraft to land on a carrier (Sea Vampire) this was in the English Channel on 3rd December 1945. Lieutenant Commander Eric Melrose (Winkle) Brown landed a Vampire jet aircraft on the flight deck. Four landings and take-offs were made that day, followed by a further eight on December 6th.
