I just got a new Logitech G25 which puts me at 5 controllers so now I get to unplug stuff when I fly http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif I hope that BoB will allow more devices...
The Logitech G25 rocks BTW, metal design with leather wrapped wheel and shifter. Excellent force feedback also. Metal pedals with a clutch even! I really wish there was a joystick equivelent out there up to these standards.
Man I so wanted to use the shifter controller as a button bay in IL2 too... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

I wish somebody made a yoke with force feedback for flying bombers. My Microsoft Sidewider is the greatest for fighters, but I feel the need for force feedback in bomber flying. Tried a CH yoke but it is non-FF, and was not for me.

I enjoy tinkering with the old controllers to make custom switches and buttons. It would be nice to have a lot, say 10 or unlimited controller options, to make big engine start, gear raise, trim boxes, and other stupid stuff.

GO HERE (http://www.betainnovations.com/) and pick up the goodness. If you can run out of inputs with these you must be building a 747 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You can always try to create a virtual joystick (made up of more than one controller) using PPJoyJoy found here - to get around the four controller limit.

I do have this app and use it for a couple of other games. I will see if I can use it for this case also. IIRC there is a limitation for buttons in PPJ. Also, thinking about it, I am using a back up JS while my CH FS pro is in the shop. When I get that back I should be able to squeeze back down to 4 devices with CM.

Beta innovations has a stackable input board that will handle up to 256 inputs via 1 usb port. I'd love to see someone overload that http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Beta Innovations ROCKS. It's been a while since I checked them out (they were "out of the game" for a while - glad to see them back) and they have some awesome new stuff. I especially like the X-Amp for use with load cells. I built a pretty nice load cell test rig but just couldn't get an amplifier that worked right. At $24 each that's not too bad. Maybe I'll finally be able to build the simpit I REALLY want now.
