Is there a plane where the gun pods toggle is useful? Let me explain ...

I assigned a key to this function tonight, thinking that turning off the gunpods would allow me to use the default cannons and keep the wingpods as a reserve. I tested on a Fw-190 and a Bf-109G, and all I see happening is that the toggle completely disables my #2 joystick button, thus disabling the default wing guns that normally use that joystick button.

Edit: Yes, I edited the title to 'gunpods' instead of my wierd typo/Freudian slip, 'God Pods.'

... on Fw.

On Bf109 'gunpod toggle' should disable the wing gondolas (previously assigned to button 2), and split nose mounted guns on button 1 (mgs) and button 2 (hub cannon) which were previously all assigned to button 1.

On Fw190 even on default configuration you trigger inner cannons AND mgs together with trigger 1.

God Pods, heh heh, I didn't mean that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Feel the wrath of my Boom Stick!

Okay, I've got a handle on what the toggle does. It only works with a few planes and even then it only applies to Mk. 108 loadouts:

Bf 109 G-6 ............... U5: 2xMk 108 gunpods

Bf 109 G-6 Late .......... U5: 2xMk 108 gunpods

Bf 109 G-6/AS .......... U5: 2xMk 108 gunpods

Bf 109 G-10 .............. R4: 2xMk 108 gunpods

Bf 109 G-14 .............. U5: 2xMk 108 gunpods

Set all your guns to fire on one button, then toggle off gun pods so that they can be used after your main armament is out of ammunition. In both the Fw-190 and Bf-109 you will have nearly enough MG ammunition to last the duration even though you've used your main cannons and gun pods seperate instead of together.
