what does everyone else think of this 262

I'm assuming its one of messerschmitt's very last designs. Note that the tail is the same as the standard 262 for some reason??

Am i right in assuming that this plane would turn better than the 262's in il2 because the distance between the engines is smaller.

There were lots of variations within the HG variants, one HGIII I've seen had the leading edge of the tail become the canopy like so (http://www.luft46.com/gmart/gm262-4.jpg). There's a couple of books I'd like to buy on LW projects like those (I assume most of the entries were based soley on preliminary drawings, because there's a load of them) but I can't justify the cost of them.

turn performance isnt simple at all

the engines on the 262 messed up the airflow over the wings & reduced the lift area

Drawing it and FLYING it are two VERY differant things. The Ta-183 is a great example of that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

They wouldnt be out of place in Crimson sky or Thunderbirds.

Those 262s would have been a nice addition to '46, maybe next time.

This sight has quite a few "what-ifs" if you're interested. (http://www.luft46.com/)

Stalkervision, imagine if that thing could carry auto-guided X-4's in the bomb bay. No airplane in the sky would be safe!
