Temora Aviation has brought the only flying CAC Boomerang fighter. The Boomerang is Australia`s only indengous aircraft fighter design.Design work started after the cheif designer of CAC heard about the loss of HMships Prince of Wales and Repluse.Based on the Wirraway trainer which itself was based on the Harvard advanced trainer. The Boomerang while it could turn pretty well was not fast enough.the Boomerang was employed as a ground attack/amry cooperation aircraft.

Nice museum that. I'm pretty sure there is more than 1 flyable Boomerang though. The one they are referring too is "Suzy Q" I believe, and there is at least one other called "Millingimbi Ghost" IIRC.

This museum also has one of the six remaining flyable Wirraways. A nice collection of RAAF/Aussie aviation history
