FB 3.0 is the greatest most comprehensive flight sim ever made. Covering 3 theaters with a mindboggling planeset of the most realistic graphics FMs and DMs to date. IMO it is all a package.... the whole thing constitutes FB 3.0. IMO if youare flying just PF or FB 2.04 you are missing out big time.

I hold out hope for the patch. I think there are many features missing (I know the whole story about no room on 2 CDs, blah blah blah) and the DGEN is truly awful. Even worse than the one in FB. However, the beta DGEN seems, if not to fix the AI problems, at least to make the scenarios more interesting by throwing more planes and ships in.

We cant get it in the US until Nov. I do hope that PF is as good as FB. Im addicted to the game however, and this might be a better daily "fix". So far though I havent really heard of anyone complaining about the game in general.

I think current DGen can't properly reflect Pacific theatre.
I(or might be we) need campaign like IL-2 original.
Download custom mission pack? Come on, retail version should have included this feature.
As Oleg said before, 95% of customers are offliners. Then why didn't they added some more care for offline players? Well-designed sequential campaign if DGen can't be perfect. Is it that hard thing? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

I agree. PF is simply below par for offliners what with hardly any training missions and a frankly dodgy, undocumented DGEN. If it wasn't for the fact that I spend a good deal of time online, I'd be very disappointed right now.

As D:REAM once sang, 'things can only get better'...I hope.

Cheers,
Norris

I'm not a pacific buff, more of a BoB guy myself, but

AWESOME!!!!
{ahhh, guess it doesn't work on this board...well you get my point.}

Well, that about sums it up for my opinion on this sim.

In the interest of keeping it short an sweet-"Bearcat" is absoulty correct and should have written the back of the package testimonial.I will simply add it is a masterpiece, and I've only begun to fight(I've only had it for two days)

I think even the packaging is great.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif Considering that CFS1 and CFS2 were two different products. EAW and PAW were two different products...... here we can do the whole 9. I think selling it as a stand alone and an add on was great and I do believe it was done because he asked us and we respnonded.

I'm glad the Jug is in all theaters, because i'm staying in it. I just didn't take a liking to the carrier planes.

I can't wait to get my hands on it!! I want to try out the P-40B and the A-20. I love CFS2 and this should fill that needed fix. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I took all of my 1C combat sims, (IL2, IL2/FB, AEP, and PF) and put them on the spindle of the cool box that I got PF in. They all fit in there nicely. The original IL2 is only in there for a nostalgic trip down Stalin lane every once in awhile.

It just seems so appropriate that they all be stored together, since 1C has made it possible for them to exist that way on my HD.

Thanks, 1C, for the box to keep all my 1C stuff.

dixie find a local bestbuy they have been stocking it

bear i like the packaging but man big boxes like these are going to take up space.my only other worry is the chance of scratching a cd the way they are stacked.
