so in game we have stuka D and G but the stuka D we have isn t a late model

i think so why not have a Stuka D5 it s the same than G in dimesion without 37cm gun but with 2 20mm gun in wings and a dropping road system(like on G)

it is bigger than the first D model like G and have 20mm gun remplacing the two mg17 of 7.92cm not alot of work to do on 3D model but what a pleasure it also have additionnal armory on canopy.

It has a larger wingspan aswell, the 20mm's should be a nice adittion to straffing runs instead of the MG!

Yes, a Ju-87D5 would be great. Please add it Oleg.

As we all know, the Soviet Union had too many fighter pilots during WW2. So Stalin's scientists came up with a brillient way to solve this problem. They would make some of their pilots fly British made Hurricanes. The Hurricane was an uber flying coffin. It was designed to maximize pilot kills by providing nothing but fabric and a few wooden spars around the cockpit. This setup prevented the pilot from escaping easily while at the same time not interfering with enemy bullets and shrapnel trying to pass through it. The rest of the Hurricanes structure was designed to ricochet bullets and shrapnel into the cockpit. And thanks to the cockpits superb design, all of them would pass through the cockpit and the pilot inside with little difficulty. Of course the Hurricane's designers didn't stop there. In order for the Hurricane to become a flying coffin, they had to make it easy to shoot. They did this by making the Hurricane the slowest monoplane fighter in use at the time and even gave it a very bulky shape so that it would be easy to spot and hit. The final feature of the Hurricane was its ability to bury or cremate itself. And because it was made of biodegradable materials, the Hurricane was environmentally friendly after it buried itself. Because of these brillient features, the Hurricane was a perfect flying coffin and helped the Soviets solve the pilot surplus they were suffering.

sure , the Ju87D-5 would be nice !

BUT its a little bit more work as just the MG151/20 (180 rounds each!) - it was the first Ju87 with the larger wingspan ( + 0,6m each wing)- so the 3D modell has to get new wings

the 87G in the game is a G-1 , for less work, it has the "short" wingspan.
the G-2 had the large wingspan
btw the G-2 was the main version with ~210 build, the G-1 were only ~20 !

So what! there have been build only 17 I-16's type 24's with the 20mm guns! and they are all over the FB Campaign's and Single missions.

The Russian B-1 was never used in combat!

Have you tryed to attack the Marat with your StukaB-2 in single missions?
You might succeed in hitting the marat but I garentee you you will not make it back to a friendly airbase! Because the rare 20mm Rata's are comming to get you!

i suceeded 1 time out of many try's to land at a Enemy airbase but the Rata's don't spare 'defector's either!

Wow! That must to be really rear version of I-16, that Type 24... Only 20.... Can you please enlighten us with the source of your unique knowledge Flydutch?

Because it is widely known that there 934 I-16 Type 24 produced from 1939-41. There is a problem here too - Type 24 didn't have ShVAK installed at the factory - it had 4x7.62mm ShKAS machineguns.
2x20mm ShVAK cannons were installed on Type 24 as a "field mod" at the front, just like on all other versions of I-16, Hurricanes or P-40 previously armed with machineguns only.

But it is not going to be any easier for you on your Stuka:
2x20mm ShVAK cannons were installed "by default" at the factory on:
1. I-16 "Type 12" - 12 made in 1938;
2. I-16 "Type 17" - 341 made in 1938-39;
3. I-16 "Type 27" - 59 made in 1939;
4. I-16 "Type 28" - 293 made in 1939-40;

It would be nice, if you do the same with your data /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Bavaria is one of the oldest European states.
It dates back to about 500 A.D., when the Roman Empire was overcome by the onslaught of Germanic tribes. According to a widespread theory, the Bavarian tribe had descended from the Romans who remained in the country, the original Celtic population and the Germanic invaders.

The D-5 stuka gets my wote.. those IL-2s fly around like they own the place /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif 30+ of these was used by Gefechtsverband Kuhlmey at Immola. Book about it mentions that Hptm. Engbert J√¬§ckel even archieved 10+ aerial victories with JU-87 before LA-5 shot him down /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

the 187 project did have retractable gear - however - i got a picture in a book of a ju87D with retractable landing gear and that is an operational flight it seems.

ahhh....... that large half-ton book wich covers only 12 planes of the second world war.......with illustrations by this japanese guy......"the complete book of....." or "the great book of......." something like that

i used to collect these books when i was 12 ... although i am playing more and more FB recently i have not gotten enthusiastic enough to go and dig all the books out of the garage http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Ah yes D-5 would rock.. or maybe even a later variant /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ) Personally I would hope for some different bombs too.. liek SC1800 and SC1000.. and the AB bombs to actually have some kind of impact as at the moment every AB500/AB250 are duds /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I have the series of 12 individual a/c books illustrated by Rikyu Watanabe. The books are ~ 10.5"x13.5" on glossy paper. What page is this Ju87 on?

The only later variants are the D-7 and D-8, which are night attack conversions of the D-3 and D-5.
Dive brakes removed, flame dampeners added and some more sophisticated radio installed.
These aircraft were flown by Nachtschlachtgruppen on all Fronts, in the same role as soviet Po-2s did.

in game with stuka you could bomb with Ju87B and D3 and attack truck and tank with G

but cannot do both like with IL2 bombing then straffing but with stuka D5 it will be possible so i think it will be a great add to german side to have this one

it allowed to used bombs then straffing with 20mm (trucks etc...because in FB when you dropped bomb with D3 you are obliged to go home you cannot do anything with 7.62mm

the D5 could be the IL2 of german side and will be the most used of the stuka family i think by stuka's FB users.

people interesting post here hehe.
