I know this is probably an easy fix, but I'm new to Windows 7 and this is probably a Windows problem. When I try to tweak the Config.ini file, Windows 7 will not let me save my changes. I can open and edit the file, but when I try to save the changes, it says access is denied. Tried the whole file ownership thing, but to no avail. Am I missing something?

drag it to desktop.

If you dont want to disable the UAC, edit it, save as it, delete the old conf and rename your new to conf.ini.

Maybe try right-click > Properties and see if they tells you anything(?)

There's really no reason to keep UAC on. It doesn't actually make your system any more secure. In the political world they call things like UAC "fear mongering" or "scare tactics"

User Account Control is for people who don't know what there doing, it's there to protect them from messing things up. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Just out of interest, is there anyway to tell windows to STFU with regard to telling me that i've turned UAC off everytime i bootup, after a year and a bit its getting rather tiresome.
