You know you are hooked on Silent Hunter III when€¦

- Every time the subway/metro/tube heads underground you yell €œAlarm€ and run headlong into the first rail car

- You know the color of all your crews€ eyes are well as there facial hair features

- You begin talking to your sim crew and are not using the voice command option.

- The sight of a real ocean bores you

- You tell the €˜Frau€ that there is more room to store food in the small bathroom on your 1st floor as well as the small space above your work desk.

- You start target solutions on large semi-trucks you pass on the highways (lorries for you across the pond)

- You begin not to take showers or baths for long periods of time

- You enforce silent running with your family on a regular basis.

Feel free to keep this running€¦and forgive me if this has been attempted before

The best one was posted awhile back....

When you install a periscope on your roof and then do speed and AOB calculations on your neighbor mowing his grass.

You install red lights in your computer room to rig for red-(yes I have actually done this 3 to be exact)

...You see the newest cruiseship of P&O on Discovery and catch yourself thinking how many fish it takes to sink it.
....You see a Tanker on the television and you wonder how many tons it is and where the fuel bunkers are located.

2... You read said discussion thread

3... You reply to said discussion thread

-You name you're assigned boat in game after your wife/girlfriend and always refer to it by that name in discussion.

-You answer you're bosses commands with "Jahvo herr kaline" (that spelling is probably way off but I do this at work http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ).

-As you shut your car's engine off you can't help but to say "Alla machinen schtop" (or at least thats what it sounds like to me.)

-You see a photo of the Jahre Viking and get an erection

You happen to be watching the History channel and see some real footage of a U-boat torpedo kill and you think to yourself...

"Ahhh, that's just a 2000t small merchant. Don't they have any T3 footage?"

You're driving down the highway in MN and see a military Humvee with a sign on the back that says "convoy ahead" and you break out into a cold sweat. Sweat in MN.

-you switch to german beer

-you sabotage your house plumbing to have the opportunity to 'fix the leak'

-you consider kate beckinsale as your first mate and your wife as 2nd

-you never forget your pair of binoculars when going to the balcony

-when giving out directions, you use the terms 'starboard' and 'port side'

-you only have 2 programs running on your computer (Windows and SH3)

Some idiot cuts you off on the freeway and you in turn reach down to adjust settings on your TDC for acoustic, only to realize you just turned your heater on.

YOu buy a hybrid car just so you can run on electric power.

YOu keep a 12 pack of Beck's under your bed.

When you see a police officer on the freeway you shut down all unnecessary devices in your car and announce silent running to everybody.

-You attempt to increase time compression during normal life.
-You insist on cruising at 30 to save petrol.

-When at work, you see the boss coming and out of reflex you hit: D, Z, 1, Ctrl+Delete, Ctrl+ PageDown, and H. Hoping that he wont notice you and just drift past your cube. Only to have him stop and ask what the **** happened to your document.

Being an ex Commercial Highway Engineer(Truck Driver) that I am, I do just the opposite. I've been running targeting solutions on 4wheelers(autos) lately, due to more variety. Helps with muliple target solutions, but rough on reloads. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Yep. If you drive cars and think that other car drivers are annoying, you'll totally change your frame of mind when you start driving Buses and Semi-trucks. The thing is, for me, when driving over-sized vehicles, I feel more like a destroyer captain, constanly plotting ramming solutions on things more nimble than me.

When you board the door shut and install a hatch and ladder going down into your puter room from the attic or second floor(wife came up with that and then said NO!)

Your friend in the merchant marine tells you what kind of ship he's assigned to, and you drool and mentally say "Magnetic setting on 2, set to fast running, depth set to 10.5 meters, open outer door on tube 2"

- Always checking the SH3 forums
- Dreaming about how you destroyed your last ship
- Dreaming about SH3 everyday
- talking about it to much
- GOing to the war museum looking for a U-Boat
- Looking at a gift store for a U-boat
- Waiting for the U-BOat movies to appear on the History Channel
- Having your avater and your sig of SH3
- Wanting to be on a U-Boat
- Asking wheres the u-boat in a Battlefield 2 game (Didn't do that)
- Taking to many pictures of SH3
- pming a friend over a forum and got no replys since it was about SH3.
- Having emotions for your crew (nope)
- You start to think like a U-boat crew member(s)

(I put it all here since my edit button is being annoyin and same with my posting messages, says i'm a guest which i'm not)
