Hmmm tell her its really for her pleasure , she now can sit in your lap while you fly http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif thats why the controlers are off to the side. see they even say "positions your Stick and throttle right where they belong for hours of comfortable play" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Looks UNCOMFORTABLE to me. My back hurts just looking at that plastic pos.

Useless...no cavity in the seat for a parachute...

Hmmm, dunno about chairs like that. Sometimes comfortable chairs can be a mistake.

I got a nice comfortable chair to work but I hardly ever work or fly in it. It`s too relaxing! I find myself just not paying attention.

So I swapped back to a straight back less-reclining, less comfortable chair which I find actually keeps me alert and on the job of flying and fighting! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

And it is way too expensive anyway.

I got the same impression, and I would like adjustable distance between throttle and stick holders.

I also like my almost straight desk chair. Its padded just enough and I can sit for hours with good concentration.

You know, with a little elbow grease, tools, and time, you can build your own either from scratch or by converting an existing chair for a LOT less than $250.

I've got this big nice soft office chair with a 3" thick foam cushion to protect my lower innards.

Don't think that cushy looking ourfit would do much for me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Interesting! Although, I dunno how that would work in conjunction with a computer desk, really... well.. I guess the answer is that it wouldn't, would it.

Hmm.. does that seat sit pretty low to the ground or is that an optical illusion?

Looks interesting but that seat does look a bit too hard for me. Id rather make my own.

Not a bad start really. It seems more geared towards flying in a homemade pit than at a computer desk. $250.00 does seem a bit steep for some tubing and a plastic molded chair.

Yep those seats are from GoKarts and not really as uncomfortable as you might think (old Gokart racer here), however I would prefer to have a higher back for the long hours I play il2.

And the price is way over the top. I could make one like this in less than 2 hours for around $100 ozi, thats around $70US I think.

RCI used to make a real comfy abs drag racing seat that huged you like a circle track seat. I used to have 2 of them seting in the floor at the race car shop just to set around in lol.I had troble finding them for sale this year for my jeep. But I think I finally found them again i think ,, summit has a ecomony seat that looks just like it.what makes them so nice is that they are comfy w/o a cover but you can buy a cover for it to match you scheme. So if your intested in doin a cockpit setup they are worth looking at. There cheap as far as racecar seats go i think last time i price one it was about 60 US bucks.

I am working on designing a attachment for my chair for my CH gear. I want something I can attach when I get ready to fly and detach when I am playing RVS or COD. I have about 3 different designs I have come up with so far and I am making sure my measurements and so on will work. When I get it done I will post some pics after my move.

My car seat came out of a breaker's yard - for free - and I made all the rest myself. It's comfortable but not too hard, adjustable for recline, and when I do my new pit it will be set up on the slide rails instead of old wood packers.
The Saitek offering looks like one of those exercise machines that get flogged on daytime TV and then end up in the loft. Cheap (except for the price) and nasty - (I hate to think of the effect on the upper back) - yukk!

A bit one-sided of course - it's LH only - but you get the idea...

See you like to keep your fuel supply close to hand there, Brando. Do you put on the helmet before or after topping off your tank?

Nice setup there, though.

cheers

Hehe!

No Glenmorangie, no flyee! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif But the helmet...same model as in the Sturmovik pictures...is only there for effect http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif However, I do make unsuspecting passengers wear it in my sidehack!

I used it myself, but kept gettin' chased by 109's http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

mmmm....Glenmorangie.

Time for a trip to Tesco http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

After I have finished moving my kitchen (that involved removing bricks, inserting lintels, plastering, plumbing, electrics and swearing) I'll have a new study to fit out.

Wife insists that my computer desk has to go and that I should make an integrated desk.....boy does she realise what she's given me the go-ahead to do?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I'll post pics of what I got away with http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
