Hi Folks,

FIRST:
I was wondering what was the best feature/things, that make you classify this game in your best ones to come?

Is it the graphics?
Is it the AI?
Is it the Art direction?
Is it the animation?
Is it the story/plot (for what you know of it)?
Is it because the POP creators are behing this?
Is it the GTA like features?
Is it the *Place your suggestion here*

Please elaborate your answer... why? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

SECOND:
Are there any things you thought you'd be seeing in this game that is not present so far?

Thx in advance! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Animation for sure. A lot of games are looking "good" and AI has definitly improved since the Pac Man era but AC has, bar none, the most animations in a single video game.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Part of the allure is the current dirth of lythe, acrobatic characters in "Next Gen" titles. This speaks to the general art direction and animations.

What really put it over the top, however, was the emphasis on Le Parkor and focusing on a realistic portrayal of the holy land during the 3rd crusade. I'm a large fan of history, and this period in particular. I don't expect documentary leveled precision in a Ubisoft game, so I won't be disenchanted with the final product no matter how removed it is from that lofty goal. It's the thought that counts to me.

This game was capable of going from merely a remote interest to edging out Will Wright's Spore (as game I've followed since GDC 2005) as my #1 gaming interest - thanks to the x06 demo.

I'm not demanding, nor do I wish to dictate the directions of another's art. Much like I wouldn't expect to know what a great musician would perform before he strummed his first note (or, in Squarepusher's case, dropped his first break) I do not presume to anticipate anything beyond what has principally been shown. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

Can't wait to see if you know your holy land's architectures on the tip of you finger... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

A lot of thing were different at that time, things we only know by it's actual presentation...

I learned a lot of new stuff doing this!

Ahummm...

I think Spore will be able to include a massive amount of animations and probably more than AC.
This won't stop AC from being better as a whole but just to be a wise *** :P.
AC will own Spore in grafics,AI,maybe the story (if the story is your own it gets really good), Freedom..... lets say no.....
The Genre is waaaay better though and it will be a rough battle between the two. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

I think animations are one of the main attractives of the game. I was shocked when I heard it included 8,000 only on the character when all PoP just included 500. And also the Le Parkour thing is just amazing, I mean, when I watched some videos of it at Youtube.com I went straight to a wall and tried climibing it (a bit hard if I might say). I think getting out of the climbing concept most games handle (like Zelda that you face an specific part of a wall and climb it as if it were a ladder, I love Zelda btw)was a great idea because now you really are free to run or climb and have a lot of options of what to do.
In conclusion AC rocks! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Its strange to see a Dev start a topic like this...

well to stay on topic : For me its the settings, the go everywhere style without it being a gangsta game...
The animation ( artisticaly and technically )

I hope the A.I will live up to my expectation... I was a litle bit "déçu" when I saw the X06 demonstration, people walking backward... doing nothing except walk, getting pushed and running after the execution... I know we have been said it would be better and this was a pre-alpha-demo so it can only be better than this when the game ships.

The looks of the city too are interesting, i'm a big fan of "old" architecture... so this game is rocking this department.

well, as you can see, its almost everything that I think will make AC THE game of 2007!

Im a softy when it comes to SMOOTH-AS-HELL animations. And this game has it...

I LOVE ME fluid animation! =)

The time peroid in which this is set is what really drew me to this game at first (and still does) but the fact that it is historically accurate put it over the top for me even before I saw the incredible animations and graphics. Im a history buff and I was estatic when Jade started talking about how all of the cities we can go to, the people we end up killing, and events are all facts of history. The GTA like map makes even more perfect so you can be immersed in every aspect of late twelfe century life.

I never buy a game when it first comes out, but im seroiusly considering buying this one.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Graphics and Art Direction is the best among all, I don't know about the AI till now, We have to wait and see. And story is also interesting,it's a real historical incident. But I haven't so far heard about the music.
I love the way Altair walks, that must be the best part of ingame animation. POP team and UBI are behind the game,So we can rely for better gameplay. So everything is going to be great in my view. So I would give

Graphics: 9.9
Art Direction: 10
Animation: 9.8
AI: 9( In terms of what I've seen until now)

Overall: I'll give 10, It's just perfect http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I think the best of this game is the freedom, u can climb nearly everything,
the new kind of fighting, not just hitting your sword on everything that moves,
and the "one hit and ur dead" makes it more realistic
and Altair himself is pretty cool too
that's my opinion<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

to me the best part about AC is..

The medieval, scenary theme.

The realistic combat styles.

And intereracting with the environment, those are the things I find most appealing about this game.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

For me it is stuff to do with the people. The crowdedness looks, awesome. Trying to fight your way through a horde of people just to get to your target will be pretty cool. And once you kill him the crowd makes it really hard for you or the guards to move around. And I love it how the people look at you funny if you are doing weird stuff, like climbing up buildings.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Le Parkour. I love parkour so much. It is my life. This will be great to play to help me with the way i move and to draw inspiration from. The animations that show the parkour are probably the next most important thing, and the ability to use parkour so freely.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Best parts: AI and story plot.

What I would like to see so far and which I find could be cool is to get Altair -after a long day or evening swiftly and steathly killing- to a tavern, sit at the back, hiding his face with his hood(just like Raider in LORTR1)and order something to drink. Then once he's done, goes upstairs, lies on the bed and sleeps. I've actually never seen a game charater sleep, even in GTA. They eat, drink, run after vilains, kill monsters or Mafiosi but never rest....ehe http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif
Ehehe just a suggestion http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . Mind you, you never see assassins sleep in taverns anyway. They're always on the move and keep hidden.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Most attractive bits of AC?
The setting and the great artwork
The concept of being an assassin (like Hitman set in the crusades +hair -barcode http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)
The freedom of the environment to run/climb up the walls of all buildings, not just restricted to using ladders in certain places.

It would be really nice to be able to enter all buildings and truly have the freedom of the city, but if being able to climb up all buildings is well implemented it will still put the game way ahead of any other game that lets you free-roam around the city.

Keep up the good work http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think the coolest part of this game is the freedom to do what ever you desire. I hate games that restrict you in your abilities and where you can go. If it is as free as they are saying it is, this will be a kick *** game, which it is already looking to be. I also love the whole crowd concept, it will help fill the map and just make everything alot more realistic. This game is going to be sick.

Only things that I would really like to see added is Cooperative play (lol i can dream http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ). Other than that, great job keep it up.

The very first encounter I had with Assassin's Creed was the E3 trailer..

I was sold immediately. The whole design scheme, the crowd interaction (I was really amazed by the amount of NPC's on screen) and the free-climbing seemed just about the most "next-gen" I've ever seen.

Then the X06 onstage demo realy lived up to the hype, showing exactly the type of gameplay I was hoping for. Free climbing, smart NPC AI, the thrill of the assassination and of course the escape afterwards.
I remember I said "wow" out loud when I saw Altair chopping down the wooden rack to block the way for the chasing guards. All the wooden chippings flying everywhere, just awesome.

I could go on for hours why Assassin's Creed is on the nr. 1 position of my "Awesome games to come" list. All I can say is that it beat Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots from the number 1 position in that list..<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
