Im assuming that in real life an FW190 could Load any of the cannon options that are available & a Bomb as well

Why cant we have mk108 & a 500 Pound bomb On the A9

right now its either one or the other this makes no sence to me cuz if I was in a war & was going to bomb Some ground targets... Dam sure I would want MK108 for straffing enemy ac when possible ? or @ least the 103's ??

True all Fighter Bombers have same problem In this area, is it posible that this would ever be addressed??? I know its kinda a small Issue compared too more pressing issues but in certain cases I dont think it would be too hard to fix this ?

Like for instance FW190A9 in the Arming screen there could be an option for......

500 Pound Bomb & 108 wing cannons
or
500 Pound Bomb & 103 wing cannon
or
500 pound Bomb & default cannon

There realy isint many ac that need to be addressed as much as the FW series that I can think of, Maybe the 109k4 with 250/500 Bomb & wing cannons, But that might be too much drag
as thoes cannons hang under the 109 wings guess it would still fly tho....

For all I know the arming options are based on historical information.

Pilots could not chose and mix their loadout freely, they either had a plane with the 30mm installed, or a plane with the bomb rack...

XyZspineZyX

There are several seriosly missing loadouts. Why the heck can I take a SC500 but not a AB500 or SD500? Where are the Panzerschreck & Panzerblitz rockets?? SC1000? SC1800? 8x SC50? R4M for Dora?
Or why does the 109 have 500kg at all?? Where are the loadouts for F? WGr.21?
And that Heinkel.... way off. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Butch2k (arguably the leading authority on aircraft information around here) has stated he will be working with Oleg to get the loadouts of all planes correct. Expect changes in the patch on this, and expect them to be historically correct, Butch don't miss much imho. If you have any suggestions for obscure or 'not often flown' aircraft that may miss Butch's attentions, I'm sure he'll listen.

Sorry if I'm speaking incorrectly for you Butch or Oleg, but nobody could expect you guys to reply to every single thread generated on the internet.

Well Im alwayes burdned with that Bomb Rack weather or not Im packing bombs so .... ? shouldnt I be able to pack a bomb since I have the Rack & load some 30's !!!

Another stupid question:
Altho i love the P39 Im curiouse as too why, when you load it with a 250 Pounder there is nothing actualy connecting the bomb too the P39 Like a BOMB Rack or bomb fixture???
its simply hanging there by use of Scotch Invisable tape?http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

But in my FW, If I have No Bomb... I still have a huge arse Bomb rack straped onto the bottom of my FW ? Id be willing to bet that many Folker Pilots had thoes Bomb racks removed if they werent on a ground pounding Mission.......... Would'nt You ???

I hope your right Lig Thx !!!

Please Look Here

http://www.geocities.com/bookie190/Variants.htm

Please Look Here

http://www.arrakis-ttm.com/fw190.html

These had various combinations of bombs racks, rockets, heavier armour and main armament.

Look @ this A9 http://www.jg2.org/plane_descriptions/fw190a9.htm
There is no ETC501 Mounted Please for the Love of FW make it SO.... the rack is an option for packing bombs & Droptank

Like it was in real Life, That bomb rack would not Be On High altitude Bomber interceptors, Its realy bogus that we have it as a constant companion on the A9 as if there werent bolts that could simply remove this Chunk Of Steel

Please.... Look
http://www.jg2.org/plane_descriptions/fw190a5.htm
here is an A5, again the ETC 501 is an Option not a fixed part of the AC this is undenyable & would make huge preformance differance in the A8 & A9 Variants in FB Please Make it an option not a forced feature

The Ground Attack, Close Support and Training variants
FW 190F, 190G and 190S Series
Various versions of the FW 190 were built for the attack and close support (Schlachtflugzeug) role designated FW 190F and extended range fighter-bomber, Jabo-Rei (Jagdbomber mit vergrosserter Reichweite) FW 190G. These had various combinations of bombs racks, rockets, heavier armour and main armament.
Two seat training versions (Schulflugzeug) were also built, designated FW190S.

FW 190D-12
The D-12 was a fighter-bomber variant with a three-stage supercharged Jumo 213F-1 engine and more extensive armour.
Delivery: March 1945

and perhaps 250rounds in the wingroot canons /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

every shell counts /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

btw, an exercise report of III./SG4 with theri Fw190F-8/PtzBltz stated that it took 11(+/-2) minutes to remove/install the fuselage ETC.
an empty ETC caused a drag of 15km/h ! with SC250/AB250 30km/h.

BUT oleg said long time ago, that the A-8 have an ETC but has the performance of one without ?!

nevertheless, some loadouts, ore not available loadouts, with some planes are "strange" /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

btw, here is butch2ks (THX a LOT !) list for the 109s, wondering what we will see ?!

Here are the historically correct Bf 109 loadouts.

Bf 109E-4
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
none

Bf 109E-4/B
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
- 96x SD2 or
- 4x SC50 or
- 1x SC250 or
- 1x SD250

Bf 109E-7/B
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
Options:
- 96x SD2 or
- 4x SC50 or
- 1x SC250 or
- 1x SD250 or
- 1x Type D droptank

Bf 109E-7/Z
GM-1 seems not to be working
Wing weapons: 2x MG-FFM (60rpg)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (1000rpg)
Options:
- 1x Type D droptank
note : the other loads should have been possible, but most probably not used since the aircraft was designed as a high altitude fighter rather than a Jabo.

Bf 109F-2
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (500 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151 (200 rounds)
Options:
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)

Bf 109F-4
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (500 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- /R1 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg) (most probably /R1 was used to distinguish aircraft which could actually use the Rüstsatz VII : the MG151/20 gondolas, from aircraft which couldn't)
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)

Bf 109G-2
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-17 (500 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)

Bf 109G-6 (Early)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- /U4 : replace the MG151/20 engine mounted cannon by an MK108 (65rounds)
- /BR21 : Under wing 21cm rockets
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)

Bf 109G-6 (Late)
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- /U4 : replace the MG151/20 engine mounted cannon by an MK108 (65rounds)
- /U5 : add 2x MK108 Gondolas (35rpg)
- /U6 : like /U4 and add 2x MK108 Gondolas (35rpg)
- /BR21 : Under wing 21cm rockets
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R2 : 4x SC50
- R2 : 4x SD50
- R2 : 4x SD70
- R2 : 4x AB24t SD2 (48x SD2 bombs in total, different from the R4 system)
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R4 : 96x SD2 (4x 24 SD2 bombs = 96)
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)
Note : the MK108 gondola manual dates from July 1944 so I doubt earlier aircraft would have been equipped with it, since it required some change in the wing design. The most common version would have been the /U6, the manual clearly state that the modification is to be applied to the /U4.

Bf 109G-6/AS
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- /U4 : replace the MG151/20 engine mounted cannon by an MK108 (65rounds)
- R1 : 1x SC250
- R1 : 1x SD250
- R1 : 1x AB250-1
- R3 : 1x Type D droptank
- R6 : 2x MG151/20 Gondolas (135rpg)
- Note : I doubt the /AS would have been fitted with rockets or underwing MK108, but add them if you wish.

Bf 109G-10
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)
Engine mounted weapon: MG-151/20 (200 rounds)
Options:
- /U4 : replace the MG151/20 engine mounted cannon by an MK108 (65rounds)

- R7 : 2x 21cm BR rockets

Bf 109G-14
Cowling weapons: 2x MG-131 (300 rpg)

Options:
- /U4 : replace the MG151/20 engine mounted cannon by an MK108 (65rounds)
- /U5 : add 2x MK108 Gondolas (35rpg)

Colby you dont understand, I Love Bombing and Rockets & fast AC Like FW's

So I Realy would Like to have all options available For Bombing As well as Dogfighting .

The Il2's have many, many Loadouts, So I know Oleg can make this right for the FW series. Wich I hope he will, Im Sure that all the Other Hardcore FW Fans would Agree with me that we Are being restricted enough already, Please dont restrict the Weapon Loadout of these AC There very Versital
& the Sim should reflect there versatility

The MK-108 was a short-barreled, low-velocity weapon that fired high-explosive "mine" shells. It was maybe just a step up from a grenade launcher and had short range, but a few hits from the mine shells would send a bomber down.

(Yet I can Hit a Yak in the wings 2x 1 in each wing Yak Still Flys LOL!!!)

* In the Jabo role, the FW-190 could carry a 500 kilogram (1,100 pound) bomb, or combinations of other stores, such as fragmentation bombs or cluster bombs. A 1,000 kilogram (2,200 pound) SB 1000 bomb could be carried if one of its tailfins was removed, though it was a cumbersome load.

Jabo FW-190s armed with 250 kilogram (550 pound) bombs were used to make "hit-and-run" daylight attacks on British towns in 1942 and 1943. Most of these were nuisance attacks on coastal towns in ones or twos, but on 31 October 1942, 30 FW-190s hit Cantebury in reprisal for RAF raids on German cities.

The FW-190 bomber destroyers provided an important component of the Reich's air defense system after the US Army Air Force (USAAF) began daylight raids in late 1942. The Luftwaffe quickly learned that USAAF B-24s and B-17s were not easy targets, as both bombers could soak up many hits before going down and had heavy defensive armament.

At first, Luftwaffe pilots used "tail-chase" tactics, but then it was realized that the bombers were much more vulnerable to fire from the front, and also had weak forward defensive armament. The result was a switch to "head-on" attacks, which allowed the fighters to exploit these weaknesses. The high relative speed of the interceptors as they passed through the bomber formations from front to back also complicated the lives of American gunners.

However, the head-on attacks also gave Luftwaffe pilots little time to score hits or to react to a looming head-on collision. The new tactics were much more effective for good fighter pilots, but less effective for mediocre ones. Despite this, FW-190s smashed up a raid on Regensburg and Schweinfurt on 14 October 1943 so badly that the Americans gave up daylight bombing over Germany until the long-range P-51B/C Mustang escort fighter came into service.

Even when escorts arrived, the FW-190 was never a pushover for any Allied pilots, anywhere. Many Luftwaffe pilots racked up large numbers of kills, particularly on the Eastern front. The Luftwaffe's fourth highest scoring pilot, Oberleutnant Otto Kittle, who scored 267 victories, got 220 of his kills in FW-190A-4s and A-5s, making him the high scorer with the type. Other German aces, including Walter Nowotny, Heinz Baer, Herman Graf, and Kurt Buhligen, all scored over a hundred kills in the FW-190.
