Ok, got a couple of questions.

What stores sell Pacific Fighters? J&R, GameStop, etc. dont have it in stock. Do i have to buy it from the internet?

Whats with the Pe-2 mod thing that you can buy?

Finally, how the heck will i ever be able to get to the
current verision? What order will i have to get everything in, including AEP. I have version
1.21 of forgotten battles. (I used to not believe in patching)

Oh, and how much izzis stuff gonna cost me? (and if possible,
an estimated size of all the files im gonna have to get)

Thanks guys!

Best Buy and CompUsa have copies of Pacific Fighters in stock in my location.

dont know about the Pe - 2 mod question.

Current version is 1946. You can forego the Pacific Fighters and the Pe-2 mod as 1946 is COMPLETE! Buy it from eBay or GoGamers.com or wait until March 13th for USA store release. BTW: GoGamer will have it to you in just a couple of days.

If you want a price list, go and have a look first hand. Of hand opinion is you'll spend $50 bucks for 1946 or $20 for Pacific Fighters. BTW you'll want FB+AEP before that PF if you go that route. But I guarantee you'll end up with 1946 any way, so buy it now and forget the rest.

All in all, I have about $200 bucks in the software alone. As I bought PF first, then downloaded FB, then had to buy FB+AEP to get the merged PF to work; then I bought 1946.

Save yourself the money and trouble; just get the 1946 DVD.

I agree. Just buy the Il2 1946 dvd. It has everything you need except patch 4.08. I don't know what it costs where you are but it has an amazing amount of contents and avoids the hassle of patching. it's awesome, plus there are possibly some more maps and planes coming shortly that'll only be available with this, the complete version.

Yeah go straight for the DVD, it is the last disc of the series and avoids Boonty.
Consider that if you upgrade or wipe your drive for any reason (virus perhaps) that
with the disc you can reload without having to get cooperation from UBI/Boonty.

Thanks a lot guys. The PE-2 mod was a mod you could buy that made the PE-2 flyable before AEP.
Ill just wait those agonizing days until 1946. (Hopefully it won't be sold out) You saved me a LOT of trouble. Thanks again! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

More trouble than you think. Pe-2 requires PF that came after AEP.
ALL the releases up to 4.07 are in the 1946 DVD.

v4.08m (m for merged) is about 140MB d/l. If you have dialup then see if your local library
has highspeed and allows downloading. Mine does and it still took minutes at 330 k/sec.
Just ask or see if they have USB ports up front and use a USB memory stick.
