Qleg mate, I know what you really should do. You should make aircraft carriers in the further add-ons for FB. Because in the missions, that you launch an attack on the enemy task forces, ground vehicles, airbases ;etc where you're behind the enemy's lines and no instant successes used. It's a bit unrealistic to land your plane somewhere in the enemy territory after your mission is accomplished as noone would do that in real life. It's totally suicidal.

In my opinion, I think this is where aircraft carriers should be taking place. So instead of landing the plane in the enemy territory or staggering around over the territory taking a high risk of getting hit by enemy flaks, we can go back to the carrier, which we depart from, and land there.

It's up your consideration though, I'm not forcing you to do this. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oleg said that the current game engine cannot support opperational aircraft carriers.

They can only be added as "normal" ships but you cannot take off or land on them.

I remember him saying that it's possible with the game engine but it won't happen as there is not enough time to model it.

Besides we don't have many carrier borne fighters.

Eventually Oleg will make a Pacific sim with carriers. What you need more now is some mostly water Pacific island maps that can challenge the long range drop tanks of Zero and P~38. You know what size that means.

Yeah I know plumps, it takes alot of time to model each plane. I model planes for CFS3 and FS2004 and it takes weeks and weeks to do each model and that's only freeware and models in an official product like this have to be better those free planes and worth paying money for. Especially for IL2 FB, which has high quality planes.
