View Full Version : Hi Guys - noob prob

Hiya all http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've recently started flying IL2 FB (patched to 1.22) and have become very immersed. A problem I'm having is when I save a track from an offline mission, and wish to create a small clip from the saved track (using the start/stop recording hotkey). The resulting "quickxxx.ntrk" no longer shows my gun/cannon fire or rockets.

This also happens if I use quick record to record a LAN battle. I have been very careful not to pause/accelerate time/change cameras during original flight.

Any ideas for a noob?

I've had a search through the posts here but have so far not found anyone with the same problem.

All help truly appreciated.

Cheers, Buk http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Welcome Buk;

IIRC this was a known bug with the 1.22 patch. I believe that if you get the next patch that problem is resolved.

Visit this site for tons-o-info on the game including patch links and much, much more:

Thx for the reply HH http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I thought 1.22 was the last patch for FB.

From Airwarfare website:

"Once the above file has been installed your installation is complete and up to date. 1.22 is the final version"

You're right. It's been so long now I've forgotten. (originally no pun intended but what the hey....)
You probably need to purchase the Aces Expansion Pack which will patch the game up to the next level. Good luck on that one. The only thing I've seen lately in stores is the 'Gold Pack' which is FB and AEP combined. You might try e-bay or Amazon.

Thx HH,

I was actually hoping I'd missed something and I could fix the prob without spending yet more money just to get the replay thing working (ie a patch I'd missed). Alas, 'tis not to be. So be it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I Will look tomorrow and see if I can get it locally first and if not I will shop online I guess.

Thx again for the replies.

By all means get AEP. IMHO you will be glad you did. It truly expands the game. More maps, more planes, more objects. You should also consider getting Pacific Fighters and merging the three. Even more maps/planes/objects. Not only is it the most popular version of the game, the possibilities are endless. In addition, when the patch is released we will be getting at least two more maps, some more planes and a chance to see how Battle Of Britain will play as Oleg/1C has said that the flight model will essentially be a "beta" version of BoB.
If you have any trouble finding AEP, post here. I'm sure someone in the community can point you to a copy.

And no problem with the replies. We are here to help.

P.S. If you are having any trouble running the game or your computer, check the site link in my sig.
