... That's interesting. So it basically intimidates the guards? Won't that make the game even easier... meh. We'll see. Not like we're forced to use it, though I have no doubt that it is an extremely pretty weapon. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Depends. Some can be around 6ft and act more like a halberd would. Others are smaller, most likely doubling as scepters and personal weapons for powerful kings.

The one I mean would be the size of a spear and function as such.

Post Script: anyone know how throwing weapons will work with your spears and axes.

http://assassinscreed.us.ubi.c...hood/news/12247.html (http://assassinscreed.us.ubi.com/brotherhood/news/12247.html)

"Dagger of Brutus: This is a legendary weapon in our game. I wonít tell you how to get it, but I can tell you what it does. Itís the dagger used by Marcus Junius Brutus to kill Julius Caesar. So quite understandably, once Ezio gains possession of that famed weapon, any Roman citizen will be quite freaked out to see it in action. Enemies will flee faster if you use that special weapon, so it gives a different twist to the fight once you have it."

I was hoping for something cool like Caesar's or Alexander's swords. Not a big fan of a traitor like Brutus. Oh well, doubt I'll use it that much anyways partly because I dislike short weapons and mostly because I hate it when enemies run and my notoriety increases exponentially.

I believe i have read or heard that if you help the factions of rome (thives, mercenaries and courtesans) they will give you special gifts. And i have heard the courtesans grants you a dagger, that might be the Dagger of Brutus. I cannot confirm this at all. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

@DarkicoN14

The Wolf People are followers of one of the founders of Rome: Remus. The name Remus is often associated with wolves and not with the Assassination of Julius Caesar. However, I would not be be surprised if you were correct. I would enjoy it if there were more historical and mythological references in ACB

You call Brutus a traitor after Caesar basically took control of the entire Roman empire? First with Pompeius and Crassus, but he ditched them to rule alone. Brutus wasn't really a traitor in my eyes.

you can do special backstabbing moves with everything!

except ezio's beard

...that power belongs to Chuck Norris.

I know, but since the dagger was used to both literally and metaphorically backstab Caesar, it would be a special backstab move. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Starsfan1009
11-05-2010, 11:03 PM
In addition to any move, I think it would be awesome of Ezio stated sympathetically, "Quaeso redona me."

Means "Please forgive me" in Latin, as if you were Brutus killing Caesar...although I think that would be more appropriate for an actual Borgia target, not a common soldier.

Stix453
11-05-2010, 11:12 PM
Except that Ezio wouldn't really wanna ask for forgiveness when killing a sworn enemy.

Starsfan1009
11-06-2010, 01:54 AM
very true. maybe the move would involve stabbing at least half a dozen times since caesar was reportedly stabbed 23 times. not very assassin like though

Crassus died of his own foolish ambition and Pompey refused to follow him. Caesar didn't betray anybody or abandon anyone, he broke the law by bringing the XIII Legio across the Rhine river but aside from that not much else happened.

No individual was betrayed by Caesar during the Civil War except Pompey who let his ego get the best of him and decided to raise an army to oppose him. Brutus, on the other hand, stabbed and killed somebody who outranked him thus making him a traitor.

BTW Caesar never created or took control of the Roman Empire. It was a Roman Republic before he was born and it remained the Roman Republic after he died. It was his grand nephew Octavian (later Augustus) who created the empire.

Starsfan1009
11-06-2010, 01:08 PM
^^^Right-O

caesar was just the first step in the direction of a dictator and emperor. Octavian/Augustus was the true jerk of Rome...although he did a lot. he even named a month after himself. and he changed his name so he could be associated with the first caesar and his lineage. he was an ego-maniac.
