I'm looking for pictures and the history of an individual British P-40B/ Tomahawk I with the code letters KH-R and aircraft Serial Number AH 881. I'm looking for pictures, so I know more about how to paint my model, history is secondary, but nice.

The kit is by Revell, #5209, in 1/48 scale. They have the British colours Tomahawk I in light brown and olive drab, which sounds rather generic to me, but the pictures are black and white.

Unfortunately, all the color shots Revell and others have are in Flying Tigers colors, which does me no good.

Color shots of the model in British colours would be okay, but I'm really looking for photos of that aircraft during the war. Additionally, I need to know what color the wheel hubs are.

Thanks!

The following excellent website is dedicated to profiles of RAAF P40's ... but I think they often used RAF cammo.

Be careful with middle east photos as the temperate upper green was often overpainted with Middle Stone ( a light tan color)

Note the following profiles are RAAF aircraft with the origianl green before the Middle Tan. They are not a RAF Squadron but should be very similar to yours.
