View Full Version : "We've got it!" (nothing to do with dev diaries)

Did anyone notice how in the final memory block in AC1 (which is inexplicably shaped like the Piece of Eden's cup thing instead of genes...), well of course Vidic says, "We've got it" after the map pops up, and you hear him from inside the Animus, just like in the opening when he's arguing with Lucy.
But then if you play that memory block again after you finish the game, you still hear Vidic say "We've got it!". It makes no sense lol. That always bugged me a little bit, but I wanted to see if anyone else noticed or if I just have a ridiculous attention to detail.

Poor ubi. They have obsessive nitpicky fans like us that make it hard to make a suitable game lol

Aaaaawww, when I saw we've got it I thought we had the developer diary.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

When will our Vids come out.. I keep checking GT and IGN and keep getting frustrated http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

I hadn't noticed before. But then again, I never replayed that memory.

It = boring

In all fairness, I did put it in quotes.

Whatever, I'm too compulsive to notice small things like that.

Actually it makes a lot of sense. Him saying "We've got it!" is him exclaiming his happiness of finding the location of the Piece of Eden.

Nope...read the whole thing. It makes sense the first time, but if you replay the memory AFTER Vidic and Lucy have left, you still hear Vidic say it. Even though he's not in the room with Desmond and the Animus. It doesn't make sense.

Edengoth isn't saying what he says doesn't make sense. He's saying that even after you've played through it the first time and Vidic leaves the room, if you replay the memory again, he'll still be heard saying it, even though he isn't there anymore.

Me, I noticed, but I always thought it was Malek, or that other dude, and I still think it is.

Yeah, I thought that too.

Maybe Vidic is Maliks descendant. 0_0

I've never played that memory again before (I never did like the fight with Almualim).

But maybe the animus recorded Desmond's memory together with Altair's memories? and it played them both?

That is an awesome idea. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif
At that point Desmond became %100 synchronized with Altair because shortly after that he unlocked his own eagle vision. It's possible that he was so sychronized that his memories began recording over Altair's for a brief moment.

But option (B) is that Ubi messed up that detail. Which is a lot more boring.

yeah maybe the second time around we are only whatching a video recorded on the animus...

you know there's no one to operate the machine so maybe Desmond is only seeing the same again

True.
After all, Lucy and Vidic weren't really there the 2nd time, so it's probably recorded memory of Desmond.

It could be that or it could be that its a scripted event so every time you play that memory he "says" it.

or they could be sneaking about and doing it just to mess with you.

I don't know why the Templars need Desmond for anyway, all they need to do is get Ben Gates to do it for them without using Desmond and the animus. Afterall he did find the Templar treasure under Trinity Church. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Between him and Robert Langton, we've got a superstar cult-conspiracy-uncovering tag-team.

why dont we just throw in Indiana Jones and Lara Croft incase they need to get in some temples or such http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

That's true. Everything in Laura's path tends to die, and this IS Assassin's Creed, after all.

And they probably need Dan Brown too, if Da Vinci is in tha business.

But Robert Langton was just the pawn, we need the real architect!
