Umm.... Would the game play of Assaisan's Creed be a mixture of Oblivion and Prince of Persia because of the footage of gameplay i saw it looked good but i want to know if you can explore a lot of places just like oblivion and not just level controlled. I dont want the game to be that you start off in a city then once you beat that level u leave to another place and start there and it keeps going like that and then travelling is just a mini game because I would really be diosapointed so just any1 help me out with this. i think that its kinda.. both... like you would have the 1st map witch contains a couple targets. complete freedom of how you kill them within the fairly large map, but when your done there, you move on to the next map. i think thats how its gonna work out

I disagree. I don't think it will be "Here are the people you nedd to kill. Cya in 3 days." It will have a story tieing with the crusades. That would be really sweet if you took part in one of the Holy Battles killing troops on both sides.

Guys, if u watched the video of were the director spoke then you will know its 90% oblivion, and 50% prince. want to know why? She said you go from city to city but in the mean time ure riding ure horse there just like in oblivion, but also your going in to kill kings or w/e so its 50/50<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

90% and 50% add up to 140%. You sure you got your facts straight?

now that is a very good idea dragon....that would be realistic too. well MAYBE the devs will take it into consideration or use it for multiplayer if they decide to make it. they probably wont use your idea http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

alright so if its going to be alot like oblivion and a bit like prince do u think that ther might venturing out and doing sidequests and exploring new areas at will rather then exploring just the cities given for you to fill out your story

well, i hope so cause only having to kill 9 guys in this game with no sidequests would really suck.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Agreed because the width of my hand is maybe 4 inches and to grab onto something 2 inches long seems a little unrealistic for a videogame.

Iv never played Oblivion but from what I gather its kinda like WoW, Now WoW is completely free rome so do you think that on your way to a new Target or City you can do other things IE kill for money and such or do you think it will be a cut scene?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

About the two inches thing, I don't know why it would be so hard to grab onto. Two inches is well over half the length of one of my fingers.

Hello, two inches is more than enough to hang on to. I myself have climbed up on a brick wall, and it wasn't even two inches I had to put my fingers on. Barely one inch.

It's really possible to climb up with only 2 inches to grab on to.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

agreed, entirely plausable.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

We're also discussing a character who's more agile and swift than the Prince. All Mr. Royalty can do, compared to Altair, is rewind time and slow it down a lil bit.
Altair simply hops up between ledges, flips over a short pole, and is well on his way to scurry into a hiding place, safe from the guards. From what I've read, it will be relatively effortless to perform even complex moves like I just mentioned.
Another great concept is when you come to a medium to small wall/ledge that "blocks" your path, you've got more than 1 option as to how to overcome it: You can use your hands and flip over it, you can continue w/ your momentum and leap over it, or if you don't like where it leads, change directions and bound off down another path or 3.

this game is completely free roam <.<

That's the whole idea, Hatch. That's EXACTLY what we're supposed to experience.

As far as the climbing goes.... The Devs say they use Parkour which is a French form of Freestyle running check it out http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1854204693582154043&q=parkour&hl=en

everyone has heard of parkours,
its like called "hardcore" or something like that in toronto, new york area. you use the enviroment to test your skill doing stuff, most people say its not as hard as skateboarding once you get the hang of it.

JebusJr420

Well yeah I was just showing some of the stuff that you might be able to do... and its called urban running. Besides skateboarding is ******ed.
