as good of a squad leading game that was, it wasnt most most realistic of games, so solely based on that game I dont know what to expect if they did it

Was Gearbox the company that created Halo for the XBox or the one that ported it over to the PC (I know that each duty was handled by a separate company)?

While the game was awesome on the XBox (my trouble playing any FPS with a console controller notwithstanding http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) , it was horribly optimized for the PC. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Bungie is the one that made HALO for XBOX. I don't know who ported it for PC.

I have in fact heard that Vegas for PC was handed off to a different developer. I'll keep you posted if I hear more and if it's truth.

You may have (probably) heard that RSE was originally supposed to do Vegas (console and PC), but after Lockdown's dismal performance, UBI handed Vegas back to UBI Montreal who did Raven Shield, R63 and Black Arrow -- The games R6 fans on both platforms loved compared to Lockdown.

This is the ironic thing about Lockdown.

If RSE really did "screw the pooch" with Lockdown, they DON'T desreve to do another R6 (or GR) game as they may be past their prime.

I say this not to be some anonymous hardcore gamer on an internet forum who likes to bash those in the industry. If RSE, Stauart White, et al. really thought Lockdown was what the R6 fans have evolved into then they don't deserve to be making realistic tactical shooters anymore and the point here is we/everyone assumed it was UBI and their marketing gurus who made Lockdown so bad... When in fact, it is coming out they gave RSE a lot of freedom with Lockdown and the Lockdown we know and despise was the result.

uhmm, Vegas has been in development for around 2 years at Ubi Montreal according to Goliath.

So 2 years ago RSE would be doing GRAW and Montreal Vegas in anticipation of the 360.

I have no Idea what BiA you played, but the BiA and BiA EiB I played on PC was a utterly boring Console Port.
Horrible Linear Maps, allways the same boring BS, flank and attack from the side...
BiA was not as bad as R6 Lockdown but the same boring linear Console maps, which seem to the interlectual capacity border Console Users are able to handle. Otherwise there would be more complex non linear Levels in Console games. But since that is what the Console Clients ask it seems to be the only resonable explenation.

Actually, most console users want NON-LINEAR maps for their games, but devs and publisher keep assuming they don't and deliver linear ones.

OMG, this poor guy, Stuart White, has really no future in this industry, LOL.

Would UBI dare to put his name one more time on the cover box of a game (as a producer or anything else for that matter) ?
