Hi all!

I got an error when starting this game

It says 'ACBSP.exe isn't working anymore'

Could it be that my system isn't up to date to play this?

I got windows vista 32bit
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6850 3.00GHz
Ram: 2GB
Nvidia GeForce 7300GT

.......

Have you first fully Updated all your drivers ?

I'm not sure but the 7xxx series of Nvidia card is not listed under the minimum system requirements for Brotherhood, but I think you should be able to play on Low/medium settings:

http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/ap...rs/detail/a_id/14572 (http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14572)

But first confirm and check this by visiting this Website over here. Select Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood from the menu list:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

Which Copy of the game do you have ? Retail disk or a STEAM, D2D version ? Have you applied any of the game patches ?

It works now!
I've updated the Nvidia drivers

But it runs very slow...
Any advice which things I can adjust without losing to much of this game

I didn't applied any of the patches now
Copy of the game is a PC DVD-ROM, bought it legally http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thx for the tips btw!!!

How much FPS/frame rate are you actually getting on this computer Setup of yours ? You can use FRAPS to measure the in-game FPS:

http://www.fraps.com/download.php

First you can try to Lower down and reduce High Graphic/Video settings like e.g. MULTISAMPLING, Post-Effects, and Shadow Quality, if you are struggling for some extra fps. If you reduce the Screen RESOLUTION, then also you might get a slightly better performance, but obviously the textures won't look that crisp.

But first make sure the MULTISAMPLING value is reduced, because this feature is a performance killer, and if your Video card is not very powerful, then it is better to disable AA/Multisampling.....

It all depends on finding a proper balance, between performance and Graphic settings, based on one's own Computer/Rig. Btw, what Graphic settings are you currently using ? Is VSync ON or OFF ?

Hi Kingdaniel0

Thx for the time you spend to offer me tips en tricks!

But...
What does Vsync do? (it's on)
What are those post effects? (it's off)

How does that prog fraps work? I've installed it, but it ain't obvious (for me) how to use it... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hi bvdk200 !

VSync is Vertical Synchronization. If you enable Vertical Sync, then this will cap and Lock the FPS to the Refresh Rate of your Monitor. So if your refresh rate is 60Hz for example, your framerate/fps can now mostly reach a maximum of 60FPS...

Enabling VSync will tell your Graphics card to Synchronize its actions with your monitor. It means the GPU is now kind of slave to your Monitor, and it won't send the next NEW frame for processing, unless the Monitor signal says so.

But when VSync is OFF, then both the FPS and refresh rate values are independent, and now the GPU can work more fastly, by sending frames to the monitor as fast for it to draw. So it is better you turn it OFF, unless there is some screen tearing.

Post Effects is another in-game Graphic feature, but first of all tell me, did you press the F12 key to view the in-game FPS by FRAPS ? By default F12 key can be used to view the fps, but this can be changed.

fps GOES FROM 5 TO 25... don't know if that's good...
Vsync is off now

5 fps is very low, but anything above 25+ or 30+ should be fine.

But it all depends on you. If you don't feel a Lag while Gaming, then it's OK. Because for a smoother and a better overall Gaming experience the FPS should be at least 30+ fps....

You can try to reduce the Screen Resolution or turn down few more Graphic settings, and see if this gives you more fps gain or not. Another side option would be to Upgrade and change your current Video Card i.e. the 7300GT, for a much better and a powerful GPU, if you wish.

Also make sure you fully Update your Operating System, and all other drivers including the DirectX9 runtime files. Btw, did you check your System results from this website i.e. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ ?

Not sure why you got the above message when you scanned your PC, maybe something might be blocking it.

Anyway, by drivers I meant in general to fully update all the essential Audio, Video drivers, Directx files, as well as your Operating System (service packs as applicable). But as you have already updated the Video card drivers, so do the same for Audio (if necessary).

DirectX can be installed and updated from here, if necessary:
