Ok, its time to change video card drivers, but when i opened the control panel it gave me 4 different choices, starting with deklete all vide, nvidea drivers, display drivers and last was ethernet drivers, i was thinking probably only the display drivers but it seems every time i make a change in nvidea settings on desktop i loose joystick until i unplug it and right back in at the usb port. So before i really botch things i thought i would ask for help, and i read all the stuff on the guides at airwarfare, in my basic settings on the nvidea panel i have all to 2x and quality, vert snc on. Once into the advanced settings i followed the guide and in the in game set up panel i activated s3tc, so i hope im on the right track.

Change? Or update?

If you have an Nvidia card just go to www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com) and follow the destructions for downloading the new drivers. When you do the install the EXE will take care of everything. Just did it two days ago myself...

Remove the old driver in your add/remove program in the control panel first. Some guys do a thorough cleaning with a driver cleaner to remove all remnants of the old driver also. You can get that at www.guru3d.com (http://www.guru3d.com) .And any archived vid driver you can think of there.
Good luck :.)

yes and thats where im geting confused, old computer has only remove nvidea display drivers, one click and then install other from my documents where i downloaded it to. new one has a multi window once you get into add/remove from control panel, it has 4 choices, 1. remove all nvidea, 2. remove display driver(probably it), 3. remove some other nvidea and 4 remove nvidea ethernet, im going with option 2 and will back things up before el clicko, thanks for the help guys your the greatest. Next big project is to remove all old campaigns and will have to redownload DOF and Nimit'z 07c from internet to get back into it. But at least now im up and running stock 405.
