Well, it's 11:22pm and, after a 350 mile round trip, I can safely say that Waddington's airshow was awesome http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Did anyone go?

Highlight for me:

1. F-18 doing seriously high angle-of-attack stuff, absolutely superb.

2. Tornado doing a 100ft, 600mph over the runway flypast with it's wings swept back and burners lit http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (by far the loudest plane of the day, plus you really _feel_ the thing)

3. Harrier GR7 doing the usual, flying backwards, sideways, low and fast etc.

4. By far the best Red Arrows display I have ever seen.

5. Sukhoi SU-26 being thrown around as if the laws of physics didn't exist.

6. F-4F Phantom doing it's 'thang'.

7. Superb static display with Tiger meet Tornado's & F-16's and, couple of F-18's, Mirage 2000D, Starfighters, Hunters & F-15E's with all of the pilots available for chatting to.

8. Getting the chance to go and have a wander around, and chat with the crew of, an operational E3-Sentry.

9. Seeing real mission planning software in action.

10. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - Lancaster, Spitfire and a Hurricane - moving stuff.

Can't wait until Fairford in three weeks http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
