Ive been watching the site, anticipating the release of the p-51. Every friday, same news, friday development updates. So, when is the update gonna come. Ive long growed tired of waiting and quit playing the game. Took my squad into another game. I still come back and check every now and then for updates, and still the same old stuff on the site "friday development updates. Im really starting to wonder if anyone is alive over there. Or did they fall out like the SWAT: Urban Justice team on Sierra.

OK I've been watching these sorts of posts for weeks now.

Maybe Oleg can post a picture of a guy hunched over a workstation making changes to a flight model or post a single picture of a I-16 climbing with the annotation "an I--16 climbing much slower now". Would that be at all helpful/enlightening?

The upcoming patch is alot of stuff that's invisible to all those who can't fly/try it for themselves. Oleg has a host of guys working for him who're doing their own bit for the patch. I can easily assume that it's not worth the trouble to ask Sergei (for example) to write a paragraph on "how my work on the Fw190 FM is coming along" when he could be better employed finishing the code. Oleg has better things to do than collate this, translate it into English (or Olegish /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ) and pass it to Ubi.

People have been spoilt by 1C:Maddox's openness in the past, combined with the fact that there has always been alot of "visible attractions" to upcoming patches. This one, to a large extent, doesn't have too much outward sign of change.

The patch is coming, there are betas out in the wild to prove it's coming. Gawd, you'd think people would cut sim developers a break after Micro-toss's after-sales support efforts.

I agree with all (well not all, I'll explain) that hobnail said except that we shouldn't be in a spoilt state in the first place. especially the software industry and even more especially the entertainment software industry should have an very open dialogue with it's consumers.

I want it! I want it now! *stamping feet* IWANIT! IWANIT! IWANIT!

Listen to you guys. You sound like you think this sim just popped into existence.

Things like this take time. I'm sure that Oleg has been monitoring our frustrations with the game and what we would like added. If he gives us everything we want it could take another year of testing.

Remember, it's not just Oleg and 1C. It's Ubi too. They want to test the patch/fix before they put their stamp of approval on their commercial product. I've been in the music biz. I can tell you that without a doubt Ubi, 'the producer', and Oleg/1C, 'the artists', have had many conversations about what it takes to make this patch a "hit song". As usual, commerce and art are at odds as to how to make the "perfect song".

I'm not trying to justify the delays, the failure of Ubi to release a less than complete sim, the lack of communication between "them" and "us". I've been reading the forum for some time and the whining is getting worse and worse. On one side I read that FB is the greatest flight sim of all time, then I read that it's the most buggy, problematic release of all time.

If Oleg and 1C have been working as hard as I expect, they need a break occasionally. I read some weeks back that Oleg had been ill. Could it be because he's been working non-stop on the fixes.

I for one am going to be patient. It seems that we will be getting many of the problems solved, several new planes from Oleg as well as some 3rd party add-ons. I've waited this long for the best WW2 flight sim, I can wait a little longer for the patch that will make it perfect.

Just my 2c worth.
