I tried realistic settings for the first time today, and I don't see any reason to ever go back to normal.
I don't have a chrystal ball, but I CAN see into the future as far as ME getting a headgear outfit that involves track-IR and my wife saying: "What the ---k are you wearing on your head?"
But I don't care.
I was normal until I tried the realistic setting.
Now I am not.
I hope you at IL2 sleep good tonight.

Many would say that you were abnormal until you flew with realistic settings. Now you're normal.

Welcome to normality. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Thanks fellow normalites.
Now, I just need to find that contraption that should fit on my cranium to help me look around.
Looking for those planes with the coolie hat is not easy.
And I found that when I land on a carrier I must be in a powered-slip, or in a shallow decending curve-in to a last second stall to catch a cable. It's the only way I can see the deck with the long nose of the F4U, similar to how the real thing was I geuss.
I think I should close the cowl flaps from now on for better visibilty when landing, and I used to power back-up at the last second in case I missed all the cables and had to go around, but I'm less inclined to do that now (there I go jabbering)
But anyway, flying real is alot better.
Any suggestions on finding track IR?

Re. Track IR:Gget the Track IR 4 with Vector Expansion, that way you'll be set up when BoB comes. It will support 6DOF we've been told, so the little extra now will pay off later.

There's apparently some benefit even with the current game, too.

PS You are clearly assimilated, oops - hooked. Congratulations! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif
