Does anyone know what's this?
A collegue of mine got these some time ago and was told they're from WWII.

We both figured they are a headset from an aircraft radio and that the 'shells' fit into a flying helmet.

So, his (and mine!!) questions:

-what is this? are we correct in our assumption?
-anyone knows what country they're from?
-are they really WWII or can they be newer?
-are they possibly position (pilot, gunner etc) specific or maybe even plane specific?

If anyone can help, thanks in advance!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

if the connector is not electrical i would guess it was the recieving end of a gossport tube, a primitive intercom for early trainer aircraft.
somewhat like using a stethescope for one way communication.

Thanks for the reply, it seems that our assumption might be correct then?

I'll have to inspect myself to see if it's just a hollow tube or whether there are electric contacts in it. (I only got these pictures)
