"Folks-
For the next version of the trackIR software we are hoping to put the view limitations questions to rest. So We would like to ask our users what they would prefer:

Keep current restrictions (version 2.01) in IL-2 FB.
Allow the user to move 180 degrees back and 90 degrees up and down.
Note that neither option is the same as what we had in 2.0, which had no view restrictions at all (you could spin around indefinitely).
This poll will close on July 1st."

I did not see any place to vote on this. But, I would like to vote. If they get it. So does everyone else.

IARBJ (in after RBJ)

I don't have it but it seams to get a lot of positive feedback here. I heard it was kind of "clunky" before. Somewhere on SIMHQ there was a thread about a new "hat" (I don't understand it well enough to know what I'm talking about) thingy you could get that would get rid of the "stuttery" panning.

If any one cares I'll try to find a link to that thread

I works very well, if you like mouse type panning. I dont use it to be honest. Years of useing snap views have made them second nature to me, so I dont want to get use to a new system.
However if they get a 6 view (180) I WILL learn to use the thing.

I kind of liked the 180 view of the old drivers. It sort of makes up for the guys going no cockpit in FR servers, and the guys using external views to check their six.

Fair warning the app is in russian. It took me twenty minutes to figure out how to get it to work.
