Guys,

Glad to hear IL2 FB is moving to the European theatre (I'm English, so can't wait to experience flying across UK and France).

But, where is the Mosquito???

It was one of the most successful planes of it's time - not bad for a design of wood and cloth!

Found this site for all those who don't know about this great plane http://www.mossie.org

Sad to hear the Spitfire (greatest plane ever!) isn't making an appearance......saw them at the Duxford airshow last week as part of the Centenary of Flight exhibition. They still look and sound fantastic!

So, here's hoping we will get the Spitfire and Mosquito in the (very) near future.....fingers crossed!

Do you guys know about Target For Tonight? A new free flight sim being made by volunteers. It is based on the RAF's night bombing raids over Germany. Anyway the mossie will play a big part - In the night fighter, bomber, pathfinder, and strike roles.

Target for Tonight looks fantastic. But I wonder if it will ever see the light of day (or the dark of night as it were).

From what I read, I think they are forecasting at least another 18 months before release. That's spring 2005! Best of luck to them though.

I think by then we'll be flying IL2- Battle of Britain, with the Midway expansion pack with full aircraft carrier support.

Hey, ya gotta dream.

well, we have had a lot this season, and most of them are carrying the west nile virus, nothing fun if you know what I mean.

bump

The Mosquito was a wonderful plane, we need it more than other planes that were produced in very small quantities and had no historical role... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
