View Full Version : Bleeding Effect

I just watched all the available videos for AC2 again and in the Dev. Diary #1 they mention Ezio having the Eagle Vision.

My theory is:
What if the bleeding effect works both ways? What if Altair passing the Eagle Vision to Desmond, then Desmond passing it to Ezio? Remember the philedelphia experiment about the supposedly crew and ship going back in time etc? What if they use that to enhance the Animus, to make the effects more vivid and smooth, and what if it has side effects such as the bleeding effect. Allowing Ezio, Desmond and Altair to all have the Eagle Vision...

Xanatos2007

I don't think so, the Animus replays memories, it doesn't travel in time.

Which is why I mentioned the peice that they used to create the Philly experiment, it could over enhance the memories. Causing a little bit of Desmond travelling back in time, linked with his DNA since he's reliving Ezio = Eagle Vision for Ezio. I dunno, I like to think it's the reason. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The Piece of Eden isn't powering the Animus, it's in a totally different location. I think I see what you're saying though, maybe the aura from the Piece of Eden which Altair recovered had a permanent effect on his DNA and eventually passed onto Desmond. The POE's power combined with the frequency of the Animus and Desmond's brain waves could have caused a sort of "psycological wormhole" to open up, but I still prefer the Eagle Vision being passed down through the generations. Just seems more likely.

AetosEagle
07-29-2009, 04:52 AM
Yeah... But then wouldn't Desmonds father/mother get it aswell? Or something?

Account_Deleted
07-29-2009, 04:57 AM
how does Ezio get it from Desmond?
both Altair and Ezio are from the past..

Xanatos2007
07-29-2009, 05:02 AM
And who's to say that his mother/father doesn't have it? Maybe it's a power that's awoken from some sort of epiphany(spelling?) or some sort of synchronisity event. His parents were full Assassins, so they underwent all the education and training to think like an Assassin. And Desmond... well, didn't.

AetosEagle
07-29-2009, 06:10 AM
I just thought of something, all 3 of them, Ezio, Altair and Desmond, are missing at least one parent. Altair has none, Desmond said he doesn't class them as his parents and Ezio has lost his father.@ Xanatos yeah maybe... But then we will have to wait for the game to find out.

Danvish
07-29-2009, 07:44 AM
But as Rikken wrote to Vidic, they Templars are completly against all experiemtns considering time, so I don't think they used the time technology for the Animus.

What Xanatos says makes sense, maybe while reading Altair's codex, Ezio had some kind of a vision which allowed him to gain the Eagle Vision.

godsmack_darius
07-29-2009, 08:47 AM
I dont think passing on the eagle vision had anything to do with the Peice of Eden, coz then you have to say to yourself "how did you Altair get it" which we will find out in AC2 according too my sources AND everyone elses http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Well, the Philadelphia ship experiment was an attempt at invisibility. Also the ship didn't travel back in time. It just disappeared and reappeared somewhere else(I don't know where). But when they boarded the ship they found some of the crew had part of their body embedded in the steel of the ship. It was like if you poured cement and I stuck my arm in it and stayed like that 'till it dried. That's what some of the crew were like with the steel!

I think you're somewhat right about the bleeding effect opening a wormhole, however I think it would only transmit brain waves(or maybe any kind of wave. but not anything with mass). That would mean that when subject 16 did the drawings with his blood he could have been recording visions that were coming to him from the past and future.

godsmack_darius
07-29-2009, 08:57 AM
Did the Phily project actually happen the way you said it I heard it went FORWARD in time for 18 seconds or something

Edit: Nvm, I t went back in time 10 seconds with their sailors embedded to the ship, and some vanished into think air, and when it vanished it turned up in Virginia, (200 miles away)

and then reappeared back to where it was with sailors embedded to the ship or disspeared

creepy eh

I think it was found out somehow that it reappeared after 18 seconds. If I could stand in front of you and become invisible, then became visible after 18 seconds you wouldn't be able to tell if I just stayed invisible that long or if I time travelled 18 seconds into the future. Unless of course you reached out and touched me. Then you would know that I was still physically there.

Ten seconds into the past I have no idea how to justify. Nor can I do so with moving 200 miles instantly. Oh wait, I can. TEMPLARS.

Unless scientists get the courage to try and replicate the experiment we will probably never know.

That would be MEGA cliche... And plus, if Lucy created a Time Machine, that would mean that Altair wasn't there to carry on the lineage.

I don't know its a little too cliche for me.

godsmack_darius

Plus it would be too random

and you do no that if you went back in time you wouldnt no anything about yourself (for example) if I went back in time 1 day I wouldnt no what happened the next day because it never happened, so it wouldnt really matter

Now if Desmond and Lucy went back in time, they would no they are and theyd probably be in some sort of coma or cataconic stae, because techniqually everything in their life never happened, because thye travelled back in time 1000 years lol

Lucy Stillman, who apparently majored in experimental neuroscience, has been trapped in a "drug company" building for well over six months(possibly years longer) yet somehow has the technology, the money, and the scientific knowlegde, to build a time machine in an obscure village somewhere in the Middle East?

Also, if the bleeding effect gave the victim super strength (through what can only be described as bad writing), then subject 16 would have escaped when they experienced the bleeding effect.

And we know that two people, who escaped from an agency that has eyes and ears everywhere, would easily be able to travel to the Middle-East without being captured. Don't forget that one of them is going, or has gone, crazy and probably started writing cryptic signs with his blood. Quite the sight to see on a subway or airplane.

So she has the money to pay expert engineers too? or whatever godsmack_darius calls himself.

Quick quiz, What will godsmack_darius call himself?

A) Genius

B) Assassin

C) AC fan with enough spare time to build a time machine. I guess time wouldn't mean much because if he did complete the time machine then he could just come back in time to give it to himself.

D) Other

E) All of the Above

It's useful when you're playing without the HUD, to identify the guards you have to kill on assassination investigations. I also use it to after a major assassination. If I don't see any guards in the street ahead of me then I can sprint down it without worrying.

Damn good point, or at least the Eagle Vision to last a bit longer once you turn it off.

I thought of a way to fix that problem. the only way to see normally from Altair's perspective was to be partially desynchronized.

To fix this limitation they should make set regular vision to it's own button. I don't know if there will still be a spare button in AC2 but if there isn't then if you hold the view button, it should do regular vision, if you toggle it, then it will show eagle vision.(provided you are synchronized.)

Speaking of this, they shouldn't change the keys mapping!

What I liked the most in ACI, that it was so easy to deploy, you didn't need to push on multiple buttons in the same time. Making the gameplay itself harder is a wanted thing, but not the way you handle the assassin.
