When I first started flying this sim , I was in a squad . We never flew full real and , well , it wasn't bad (icons ,externals, unlimited ammo) YUK . We had mutual fire support so we always covered each other . Later on the squad broke up and I realized that I was at a tremendous disadvantage .Whenever I went in a full real server , ouch !!. I got my butt handed to me on a platter . But , you know what ? It was all good ! I learned the hard way .I now fly full real all of the time (occasionally with externals) and its the BEST !! No icons , limited everything, cockpit on , etc...
And now I can whup some butt !!!!
I guess what I am saying is this : this sim can be what you want it to be . A game . A simulation . A fantasy , etc ... The realism levels are all there . To be totally involved and "feeling it" , what a rush !!!
Forgotten Battles/Il-2 is the bomb !!!!!
Oleg , you da man !!!
