Hello out there. New kid on the block. I am in the older age group (ie >50) an Aussie and a flying buff from way back. Have about 45 hours military flying experience from 25 years ago. I have mucked about with a few MS combat flight sims but IL2 was the ducks guts and I'm hooked.

I had IL2 running in Win 98 but since upgrading to XP I haven't been airborne since. Can someone point me at a location to get some tech help on this?

Hello OODALOOP1954 and wellcome to the madness http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif.

Checking out tech-support section of this forum may help you.

Also http://www.airwarfare.com is a very good place to start. Do you experience any particular problems?

Thanks Tiger Talon.

I'll try the site you recommended. My problem is I can't get the **** thing to run - it opens in the sim black & white movie but it struggles along frame by frame and I give up in disgust.

I have to say XP has been something of a disappointment - I had a huge backward compatibility problem in Powerpoint. Thank you Mr Gates.

Cheers

Well, firstly disable the intro-clip in the settings. (outside of game, icon should be in the PF program group).

Do you have latest drivers for graphics? And MINIMUM 512k ram is needed...
