Hi all. I was just playing SH3, leaving Lorient in my Type IXC uboat. I started steaming out, went to the map and selected a course out of the harbour, changed back to the 3D view to look at my sub, only to notice that i was mere metres away from a harbour wall (with a lighthouse on top), going along at 12 knots. Next thing i know i get countless damage reports, and seconds later i get the Death Screen. AAArghh... I guess i really are clever.

I transfered to get out of Lorient. Worst. Port. Ever. It would help if it was shown on the map IMO, you just can't navigate through there at night.

I was on the phone, and saw two destroyers near Dover. I gave a crash dive order at shallow waters http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I went through a large convoy at night and was so busy concentrating on my UZO that I collided with the side of a merchant ship. Luckily I just got a glancing blow and reversed engines and managed to stop before I died but suffered 65% hull damage and lost my flak gun! Stupid or what?

My most stupid moment so far just happened 1 minute ago. I am attacking a convoy, and thanks to the patch the weather is suddenly heavy rain, and night. So first it turns out i am in the middle of the convoy, after two torps i lost him again, and was continue my search patter. Looked at my map, and suddenly i get damage report and i move to external view. I in a 45?C angel drove against a freighter. I just created a new german torpedo http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
Made a screenshot but dont know where they are located.
And the most funniest is, i made full back, and we move again away, the watchman looks straight with the binocular at the freighters wall, he turns around and says "ship spotted"
I guess i will kill him now, for not reporting that earlier LOL.

I've got a thread dedicated to mine last night, but basically I forgot to turn silent running off to fix a leak, and sank as a result.

SenorDingDong,

You can transfer by clicking on the telephone on the desk in your campaign office.

Would it be possible that I could transfer to Lorent to pick up a type IX boat and bring it with me to another port? Or would that cause me to loose it again?
