Will we be able to see the Kugisho R2Y in the new patch? This unprecedented jet bomber built by the Japanese was suppose to give them a huge advantage in WWII. Allied intercept fighters and warships would have been futile to this awesome bird. For more information go here http://www.samoloty.ow.pl/str056.htm

Until we get more aircraft that actually served in the war and that may be useful to us in some capacity (as AI or as flyable) I'm definately against more of the what-if variety.

I'm very much infavour of adding what-ifs but not when it detracts from the possibility of getting some more vital, frontline, important aircraft.

Like the Ki-44 and Ki-45. Vital aircraft (its like not having a Bf110 or a Stuka for the Luftwaffe) ...I'd rather have one or both of those than this aircraft.

We don't even have flyable B5Ns or TBFs, or TBDs, B6Ns, D4Ys, SB2Cs, Ki-21s or A5Ms at all. What would we need with a bloody R7Y that may or may not have ever been built?

Guys lets concentrate on the basic planes and then and only then expand this simulator to the What if planes.

I agree thats a very unsexy plane. Its one of the ugliest I ever seen. But to me the ugliest one is the Me163. It looks more like a flying egg than a flying machine.

Another thing that most Aviation historian never point out is that it was a total failure. Its was more dangerous to its pilot that to the B17 Bomber crews.

...or Tempest, maybe?

Its a novelty idea I ussually dig the 46 aircraft. Although IRL even if we didn't drop the A-bomb and the war progressed theres no way the Japanese could've built that thing. Their aircraft industry was practically non-existant by the Summer of 1945.

Plus, what they never point out on those history channel shows, the first generation of US jet interceptors was only months from widespread deployment. By the time that monstrosity was functional and operational, it would be contending with the like of the P-80, etc.

3D model of the aircraft will not pop out of thin air just because you request so.
No one is making the model for this AC at the moment, so I suggest to make it your self.

I'd rather have a whole lot of planes other than what's already in there...we have a sizable collection of planes that did squat during the war, but most of them came with AEP.

A Ki-44 would be outstanding, no game has modeled it except an add-on for CFS3. it's incredible. I think an attempt was made to bring the shoki to PF, but it was too late.

If my memory is correct Aces of the Pacific had the Ki-44. But anyways yeah, what if planes have no business being added before the primary aircraft used are stuck in. But it is obvious that they won't be added. There is almost no interest in this community for the pacific theatre nor is there interest at 1C:Maddox. Makes me wonder why they even bothered. They could have finished up the western and eastern fronts with the same amount of work but instead they did a half assed attempt at the pacific and at most 1/10th of this community uses any of the new stuff from PF with any regularity. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Nope, still have the manual and no Ki-44, but that isn't important anyway. There is a huge community that should have jumped on board PF...they're still at CFS2.

There's a tremendous number of reasons for this, and I doubt one explanation covers it all...but I'd say the biggest is that most PTO fans around the world are not interested in buying the whole IL2fb-AEP-PF pack, and by itself PF isn't all that great. no torp planes, smaller planeset, ships...blahblahblah, even I'm getting tired of saying it, most people are tired of hearing it and I've promised to go into shut up mode anyway.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

All the noobs and opportunists want all the wonder speculative planes, because they suck in all the ones that really fought the war.

There are beaucoup planes already in the game and support from the dev team is getting thinner as they tool up for BoB.

There will definitely be an add-on with a few additional planes, but this is just about it fellas.

Enjoy!
