View Full Version : Does the elevator trim seem smoother?

I always trim my plane out to cruise when campaigning, and before the patch, I always had a seesaw effect. I had to keep chasing the trim up and down, because there seemed to be a certain courseness to its resolution. (I'm not talkin SPEED here)

Since patching, I seem to have less difficulty getting the plane to hold a resonably steady altitude during cruise. And yes, I did check, my trim rotaries on my X45 still have the same settings in the config.ini file. Has anyone else seen the same thing?

After logging another 600Km of cruise time tonight, the a properly trimmed plane clearly feels less "see-saw" prone. Whether this is due to a change in the trim behaviour or just the FM in general I don't know. Anyway, Thanks Oleg! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

On the other hand, cruising in formation with an AI flight leader still seems all to often to be at an uncomfortably slow airspeed. When leading a flight, my Fw190 can cruise smoothly at 425km/h or so at around 60% power, while at an modest engine RPM. During AI led flights, I frequently have to set power to the 35-40% power range and cruise at around 330km/h. All the while having to counter the planes tendancy to drop the nose at these power settings.
