I was zipping around in my MiG today, but was forced to land as smoke was pouring out of the engine.
As I was landing I F2'd and admired the dust being kicked up by the prop wash (is that what its called?).
It was when I was stationary that I noticed the bug/error/technical detail...
With the throttle applied to 20% (just enough to create dust for the sake or argument) the black smoke would rise straight up, while the dust would be kicked up and pushed behind me.

Surely the black smoke would be pushed behind the plane with the dust?!

Not a huge problem I know; but since noticing it everytime I see the *phenomenon* it looks odd.

anyhow....love the game, and great work on the patch.

best regards,

The damage smoke is based on airspeed limits unlike the propwash which is triggered by throttle setting limits. Once a certain airspeed is reached it changes from the billowing thick smoke to streaming out behind you.

I realise that, but the dust behind the plane caused from prop wash implies that there is a force applied to the air in a particular direction irrespective of airspeed.

It just seems strange to me that this *force* has no effect on engine smoke, just on the dust!

By implementing this force in the code, it seems an oversight not to apply it to all elements in the game.

You know I seen that too it is odd looking & the Engine smoke would blow back with the dust since the prop is on the front of the ac it would be blown towards the rear of the ac, unless the engine was turned off
