I have been following this game since the day it came out to the press that this was expected to be the true next step on next gen gaming and now that we are only 11 days from the release of what could be one of the greatest games every created i think that it is appropriate for us to realise just how far we have come. I am now 22 years old and can remember playing "Donkey Kong" on the Atari system, and then playing the Nintendo, and Sega systems that promised the evolution in gaming.
Now in the gaming industry we are on the brink of true greatness with something that has nener really been done before. Regaurdless of what system you play, you have to admit that this is really an exciting time for all gamers. I live am stationed at Fort Richardsn, Alaska, and no matter how cold it is, i will be waiting for the mall to open, so that i can wait outside of GameStop so that i can grab my reserved copy of Assassins Creed, speed back to base and play that game until my eyes bleed. Thanks Ubisoft for having the balls to take a chance at something different, and setting a new standard for next gen games for all systems.

how about Buck Rogers on the short lived adam computer or E.T. and London Blitz and Stampede for the Atari.
I also remember Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Missle Command, and All Pro Football for the same system. For those of the younger generation that was pre Madden I am a 28 Yr old with a 7 month old son who will probably grow up with Virtual Reality or something.

It would be good in like 20 years time, a new game is coming out, and the next generation is talking about how they grew up with Assassin's Creed.

Are you kidding Mario is so addictive my wife still wishes she could still play it!
Duck Hunt was what I spent my time on. I did however beat Mario 1 2 and 3.

pacman (atari), mario 1,2,3 (Nes), chrono trigger (snes), Final fantasy VII (PS1)

Im 25 now and am just as excited to play assassins creed now as I was to play any of these other games. I guess if you cant stay young you can at least stay immature.

I (now 20) remember growing up on games like mario on the original NES and stuff like paper boy. Those games are still great, I played them like two days ago. This is definately a new revolution though. I wonder what Miamoto would say about watching his mario character turn into what it is today, or how much gaming still has to evolve. Its pretty mind blowing. This is definiately the next step into the future of gaming.

I agree.
Imagine Assassin's creed played using the VirtuSphere (http://www.virtusphere.com/)

That would be SOOO much FUN lol, but hard to recreate freerunning lol
