i thought id mess about trying a dynamic campaign in raf

i want to start as lowest rank, but ranks seem to be in weird order, or, i just have no idea about raf pilot rank meanings.

ps. it could be a campaign i added thats made this unstraighforward. ie. i expect them to be in order, but they show like this in this order...

flight sergeant
pilot officer
flying officer
flight lieutenant
squadron leader
wimg commander
group captain

is `flight seargent` really lowest rank?? sounds pretty important to me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

can somone tell me if this list is in correct order..... or put it in order for me so i know what im aspiring to once i start.

ps. im guessing `group captain` at the bottom is correctly the highest rank?

edit, even afyrt much internet searching i cant figure where a flight sergeant ranks compare to the others?

hehehe... Reminding me of the ranks at caddets http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I always though that it was lowest at the top and highest at the bottom but I'm probably wrong. To be honest it baffles me. I have to answer to my flight sergeant at caddets... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif It seems different from campaign to campaign, even within the same airforce. Anyway not too sure why I replied because all becasue someone here will no exactly and to be honest I don't realy know! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

it seems i may have changed em with extremones and poymando`s `raf` pack....but if they are real ranks why the hell cant i find a list on the net with them in order....doing some serious head scratching here, gonna start as pilot officer (a guess, cuz officer sounds important as well http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif)

i know my my questions will be answered by the guys vast knowledfe here.

i even checked the readme for the ranks packand even that doesnt tell you what the order of rank is, guess everyone thinks i did national service (pssst they stopped that in the last week or two) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

Yes, that is the correct order.

Group Captain is the equivant of a full Colonel in the USAAF, and just go back from there, with Pilot Officer being the equivlant of a 2nd Lt. Flight Sergent is NCO rank, and is the lowest in this case.

yea, well ,also, just try and "piece" it together, ie. a squad leader is defs lower than a wing commander, since a wing is composed of more than one squad most of the time, and a group is composed of many wings and many more squads
