I just installed a static campaign "The China Incident". I loaded the skins and loaded all the files in missions\campaigns\Ja.

But now when I want to start the campaign, I can't find it listed under IJA or IJN. What am I doing wrong?

You don't load the individual mission files into the /JA directory. You load the file that holds all of the .mis and .properties (and a few other) files into the /JA directory.

I have the same problem.
When extracted there is no folder created for the missions and other info

I created a folder in campaign/JA named The China incident, extracted all files to it and still no China Incident campaign for JA in game.

But, if I move missions to single play they show up.

Strange, I have a large number of campaigns installed in other nations and they show up fine.

I had the problem with another campaign but for the UN folder, I think.
I just decided to forget them as I have so many others that show up.

This is the campaign file in the China Incident folder:

All other campaign files for any nation look like the second one and I wonder if the China Incident file is somehow messed up?

I downloaded from M4T.

Edit: Well, the other campaign that will not show up is Hayates Over Leyte and its campaign file looks like all the others so I have no idea why these will not show up.

I have several other campaigns in the JA folder that work fine.

I don't think you are allowed to have spaces in the name of a campaign folder. Therefore "The China Incident" won't work. Try "The_China_Incident".

Got it. I created a separate folder (without spaces in the name) and now I can find the campaign just fine.

Thanks for the assist!

Thanks Zeus-cat, that did it, both campaigns showing up now.

Thanks also for your campaigns, the work you and others have done building campaigns, missions and skins is a major reason that for me and many others, the IL2 series is approaching SIX years on our HDs.

Glad you guys never tire of pointing out the obvious for us too, one look at the campaign list makes the solution stand out in blazing clarity.
