Here are some pics of the so called Linda Blair view, and a few more. All where taken in wide view stock button, no tweaking! Notice these are a couple of the best views in the game with this feature.

Here is my Favorite first!

http://home.mchsi.com/~mad_squadron/FW-190A-4.jpg

Notice the detail of the Attention sticker. Obvious to me it was meant to be seen!

Second look at the pleets in the back of the seat, why do all the art work , just to hid it from view?

http://home.mchsi.com/~mad_squadron/Yak9u.jpg

Now just so I dont keep killing the Dailup boys with pics here is a Winrar file with all of them 24 pics included. I didn't do every variant of course, but all but a few bombers was taken.

http://home.mchsi.com/~mad_squadron/Rear_view.rar

Oh what the heck hear are some gun station pics from the He-111

http://home.mchsi.com/~mad_squadron/He111_gun_stations.rar

In conclusion

After you have seen all the views you will agree that in most cases it is not a cheat by no means. And for the more unrestricted views they are from airctraft that by design where created to have it. DUH Bubble canopy! Why put glass back there if for not seeing, If you couldn't twist enough to use perifial vision then there would of been some sort of armor put there instead. I would have to think. I do think we can see a bit further straight back than you could in real life. Although with the restrictions of 2D enviroment of the sim, this is plausable addition that all should recieve from Olegs team. Also If you could look straight back like that,it most defenitly be a bit blurred the closer to center, left or right edge depending on which way you turned your head to veiw your six. Even blurred you would still be able to tell you had a follower and you would take some sort of evasion tactic to identify whom ever it was.

There ya go have fun and enjoy!

Exactly if you attack propperly the person with TIR has no advantage. I have one of those birds in the RAR file I think I know there is a early and a late 109 in the list anyways.

Interesting views.

The funny thing is that with all this talk about how being able to check 6 is some sort of cheat, most pilot's fatal error is not bothering to check it in the first place. Isn't that ironic or something? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

And so we have the sequel to the "trim on a slider" debate in full effect. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes, to "use" this "cheat", you'll need trackIR. Shall we sign you up for one?

I hate to tell you this Buzz, but if CheatIR is capable of extending views in FB that Oleg didn't intend to be there...there is probably a way to use the wireframe view in modified settings to make the cockpit transparent, while still retaining graphics at a distance.

I've seen screen-shots of a wallhack-cheat in BF1942 that allowed you to look through close objects, while retaining graphics and color at a distance of like 10 feet plus.

Scary thought isn't it. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Thats a good question. At the same time, I'm wondering what happens when you zoom in on a mirror. Of course, I'd check it myself, but i'm too poor to own a video card that can render mirrors. Maybe in a few months. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

If you mean zoom in on the aggressor plane in your straight 6 then NO it will only enlarge the view of your seat or fuselage. If he is off to the side or above behind a bit then YES you can zoom in with the gunsite zoom feature normally.

Well I'm at work now so when I get off at 6 am I'll go home and Test the mirror for you. But I'll have to admit I dont use it. I take a big hit on FPS with it on, If I didn't take such a hit i would use it for sure.

so basically there is virtually no difference between what you track IR guys get and what i get using the built in mouse view ???

.. who cares about an extra 10 degrees you can see the tail fin perfectly in mouse view which is all you need

do not see what all the fuss is about http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The heck with the pics. How is it that Toad, and very few others, are able to still use scripts on their posts?

I've tried(unsuccessfully), just copying all their scripts, and I get the wonderful "inappropriate words" message, over and over.

Well MAD_LP

I just installed the 2.01 drivers and they work better. So I'll use them against everyone else. But for you I left the 2.0 drivers in I just renamed its folder so I wouldn't overwrite them. So don't worry I'll still be cheating against You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding about cheating. But you can do the duel install though. I did that so I wouldn't loose my profile incase it was removed by the new software, and I'd still be able to fly incase for some reason I wasn't able to configure the 2.01 corectly for a few days.

The funny thing about the HUD shots was I had to get out the book to remember how to bring it up. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
