Michapma, thank you for the link and info. I, too, would love to set my hand to making movies with IL2FB, but cannot use FRAPS. One more question for you, tho. Wiley made mention in his tutorial that you have to run the tracks in a windowed mode to access Hypercam's controls. How do I run the tracks in windowed mode? I haven't seen the minimize/maximize/close buttons anywhere in FB, and I don't know what key combination to use to window FB. Any help you, or anyone else can provide will be much appreciated!

You need to run Il-2 FBsetup (it is in the directury you have installed Il-2FB).in the part in which you select resolution tgere is option WINDOWED.and thats all.I tried this hypercamera-it's ok,smalll films are cool-showing your enemy being bit by your bullets...lovely...

To download the movies, go to the following address:

http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/

Note which films you want to download and find them in the list. Then right-click on the film and choose "Save as..."

It is not necessary to run il2setup.exe to change the window/full screen mode, you can do it from in the game. From the main menu, click on Hardware Setup and then on Video Modes. (I am writing the names from memory, sorry if they're not exact.) There you will see a pull-down menu for choosing directx and opengl, and another with a list of resolutions. You can also move the animated switch between the options Windowed and Full Screen. When you click on Apply, the video mode changes after several seconds, and you can return with the Back button.

I think Wiley recommends using the smallest resolution you can, 640x480. Note that in windowed mode it will automatically select the color depth set at your desktop, so if you have 16-bit (I had to insert text here to prevent a filter no-no) chosen in your desktop settings you may want to set it to 32-bit.

(I had to insert text again here, same word.)

Cheers,
Mike
