I was just wondering, in the new version of Chessmaster (Grandmaster Edition), one of the "Key Features" is:

"Famous Games: 900 of chess's most important games presented and analyzed.".

I don't think I saw this in CM10 -- did I miss something -- did anyone else see this in CM10 or is this a new feature for CM Grandmaster Edition? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

They had a couple of dozen annotated games in CM10, and a bunch of famous games unannotated

Correct, annotated but I think analyzed is when they comment on the moves including why they were made. We'll know soon.

The annotations focus on being entertaining; there's no deep analysis. I guess this is helpful for getting newer players looking at master games but less so for experienced players.

Here are the comments from Anderssen-Morphy, Game #9:

"So far, a modern line. Anderssen's move is adventurous and not easy to refute"

"But Nf6 was surely more logical."

"A wonderful attacking move, keeping options open and threatening a variety of things."

"An aggressive try, instead of running with 12...Kg6."

"At last!"

"The Black King is now bare on the f-file. Black resigns."
