So it seems Ubisoft keeps on widening their approach on their brands. After Assassin's Creed Lineage comes a book named "Assassin's Creed Renaissance"

Assassin's Creed II gets book-ed (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=226770)

Penguin Books is set to publish the novelisation of Assassin's Creed II, called 'Assassin's Creed Renaissance'.

There is already an excerpt of the book in here (http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2009/nov/06/assassins-creed-renaissance)

I'm not sure about this but I kinda liked the first Mass Effect novel for example so probably I'm going t read this too. At least it will make the waiting of the ACII pc edition easier...

Cool find. Reminds me of when there was suppose to be a book based on AC1.

Wow, cool!
I was very disappointed about the First book, so it's good to see them coming out with one for the second game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Awesome! Just pre-ordered it. What can I say, I love books.

Now, to find a space on my bookshelf for it, my MAE artbook and my AC1 artbook. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info and link.

Nice catch http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The book should also be available in several languages including French, I'll update you if I got more info on release date http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Atmon, could you also find out more about the Comic Book set in Ancient Rome? So far we've only seen a French version of it...

Please? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

I second that, Marta. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I don't drool over things unless they're really, really, really worth drooling over, and I was drooling over that.

On topic: Interesting. I may have to buy this book.

"I adore painting, and I know I can do it, but . . . somehow I can see the end before I get there, and that makes it hard to finish things sometimes. I have to be pushed!"

Haha, I relate to Leonardo here!

I would like to see a book version of Altar's Chronicles that brings the story more in line with the rest of the universe...

The awsomeness would be indescribable if that book would come with the Black edition of the game... But that isn't going to happen. Well, I guess that the conspiracy book will be also nice and this book seems to be really cheap so I think I'll have both one in due timehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You could read the book that the game is based on if you are still interested.

It's called Alamut by Vladimir Bartol

Hey, just wanted to know if this book is only available on amazon.uk?
Im in South America and I ordered the MAE from Gamestop but the company only allows me to order from North America...
Will it available for preorder from America? I'd like to get the book at the same time with my game....
Thanks

I'm not likin the idea as much as I thought I would. I mean, AC2 is all about the action/gameplay to me. it'd feel weird reading about it when I could be playing it instead...I'll get it if people on this forum say it's cool...or if it gets good scores

the book is also listed on play.com now (cost's more than amazon tho) so it should start showing up on other site's as well allowing people in other countries to get it.

Can anyone within UBI or associated with UBI please inform us if this time, the book will be legit enough to publish? I mean, hoping that UBI won't pull this one out as well because the pope says it was too discriminating..

I still remember 'The Invisible Imam' by Barnes..
I still remember paying for it.

And I still remember never being able to read it.

Please don't get my hopes up - please do not turn this into another Invisible Imam (although the imam really IS invisible now lawl).

On Topic:
Read the excerpt.
Want the book. Badly.

And how fast is this available for Europe?
I want this quick, just like my strategy guide.

You know, the excerpt scene is quite different in the game itself. Ezio is not nearly so quickly impressed, and his mother is not so genteel about his outlets.

Yes. Ezio won the race against Federico, but Feder won the climbing race. I think it's interesting how it's a tiny bit different.

Can't wait until I get my copy sent from my UK friend.

Umm... Does that mean that the book spoils the story of ACII? I'm still waiting for the pc version and I was hoping that reading this book would ease the wait. I assumed that the book would cover events before the actual game.

(***SLIGHT SPOILERS*** yeah I know that the game begins at the born of Ezio but the book could still tell about his childhood or something like that, not actual story events of the game ***SLIGHT SPOILERS***)

So if the book spoils something like target assasinations, then I won't buy it before I've played the game. Could someone who has played the game and read the book kindly clarify this for me?
