View Full Version : 'One Summer, Two Messerscmitts' DVD

I've just finished watching this DVD which came through my letterbox only a couple of hours ago.

All i can say is if you are a 109 fan you HAVE to get a copy of this (if you can)! It's definately worth the money (especially considering the price of mainstream films on dvd).

Total running time 78mins. Main feature is just under 1 hour then there's a couple of extras.

"Featuring minimal commentary and maximum sound FX this is not a history of the ME109, but an up close and personal look at how these legendary aircraft are rebuilt and operated...If you've never been lucky enough to see a 109 fly, this is the next best thing"

Available to buy here (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Aviation-DVD-Store_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm)

couple of small previews available here (http://www.flyingmachinestv.co.uk/Flying%20Machines/Videos.html)

I tried to order that DVD from e-Bay several times but it never arrived.http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif I finally gave up. I'm in the states by the way. Not sure if the post office was losing it or what. This was when they first started out so service may be better now. I noticed that they have a DVD on the Pacific planes also. Hmmm... I'm tempted to try this again.

Is it availible on NTSC format? I'm in the states. PAL television format won't cut it for us here.

EDIT: Oooooooooooooops. Nevermind. It is availible on NTSC. (helps to read the description.)

I also have it , and I fully agree , that DVD is very good .

There is another DVD , available from a company in Germany , which mainly sell stuff about RC model aircraft , but.....they also have a number of DVD's .

Their website :http://www.modellsport.de/

The DVD is called "Deutschlands fliegende legende Messerschmitt Bf 109"

It contains footage of 2 restored Me 109 in flying condition :
- Me 109 G-4 "Rote Sieben" from the Me-Air-company
- Me 106 G-6 from the Messerschmitt Stiftung
I saw this one fly last year in France , in La Ferté Alais ( this a show of old aircraft , somewhat similar to Duxford )

Trailer of this DVD here : https://ssl.topackt.com/modellsport.de/downloads/Me109trailer.wmv

More info about the anual airshow in France , and their DVD's can be found here : http://www.ajbs.fr/boutique-video-uk.php

Enjoy ,
